At last some behind the scenes footage of my dad working in his workshop!
These are his first steps at filming on his own, so please bear with some steps being missing, or odd angles and so forth.
The pen in the video is made composite with two types of wood - ebony and bocote. They're held together in the middle by the sterling silver ring, adorned with 14k gold leaves.
You can see that each movement in making these is by the fine touch of the hand. This holds true for all of the pens in this "Summer" Collection.

Between your books and your fathers pens, this is Master class craftsmanship. The skill and character on display here is both beautiful and compelling. I am not an aficionado nor I am skilled like you and your father, but I have always been fascinated by recorded history. Things written down by hand hundreds or sometimes thousands of years ago, that have survived until today, have always captivated me. As a by product of that fascination, I am also intrigued by the medium used to put our history to record; the pen and paper. Writing can be a very cathartic experience, but it can also be a quite tedious one as well. I have such appreciation for books like the old religious scripts that were meticulously crafted and decorated and painstakingly written to such a fine detail that some took years to complete. I could stare at those works for hours and hours. Handmade, quality works and crafts, as opposed to manufactured or "mass produced" items, are unique in the fact that they carry a part of the artisan and their inspiration within the piece. I see this in your and your fathers work. These pens clearly have the mark of a master craftsman who is passionate about his work. I greatly appreciate that you have chosen to document your process and work and share it freely with the community, adding your recorded experiences to our shared history. For this I am grateful, thank you Stopan! And greetings from the West coast of America, I hope the future holds bright and fruitful days for you and your family!

I would LOVE to see a video where you actually explain what you are doing. It's fascinating to watch, but I also want to learn. I don't know, maybe I'm just too dumb to figure it out from watching. But then maybe this wasn't meant to be a tutorial. I'll keep searching.

Thank you or the kind words! Unfortunately, we're really not planning on doing any kind of educational content. My dad is completely self-taught in pen making, so I can't really recommend a nice selection of resources that might help you. Best of luck though!
