This is really cool. I love how they’re similar to the Pokémon seen in Detective Pikachu. They look realistic without going off model. They’re still fully recognizable as the Pokémon they’re supposed to be.

It hadn't occured to me until now that Rayquaza's mouth is just... all gums and no teeth These look fantastic The only change I would have made is Lugia's textures, and making it look more like an aquatic mammal; I always imagined it's skin being smooth, like a whale or a dolphin Regardless, absolutely stunning work

Most snakes and lizards have sort of gummy looking teeth :) they still have them, but they blend in with the gums so that may be the inspiration for that

For real, the claws on the feet, the lack of his fins, the furry abs, the guardian of the sea being put in the sky... I was just... I don't want to watch this anymore. It wasn't a bad reimagining... but it wasn't lugia either.

Spot on man, I love it. I just want to say that I think Lugia would look better if you tried the textures in reverse, the feathers for the white parts and scales on the blue parts. Mainly because in the games you can find the item Silver Wing (jp. Silver Feather) meaning the white/silver parts of Lugia are probably feathery. I'd love it if you'd do this one as well.

Lugia is my favorite pokemon of all time so I was excited to see this! I still think Rayquaza turned out the best tho. My biggest gripe with lugia is that the blue is canonly called scales while the white is feathers, hence the silver wing it drops it drops. Other than that nit pick its good!

Zygrade has one of the coolest Pokémon desgin but I always thought it's texture is kinda weird. I'd really love to see your take on it. Feels like it could give you that satisfaction you crave.

This is what I imagine a Realistic Pokemon should look like. The same exact design of the original though with a realistic look. I have seen others that morph and twist things in the body to make it too down to earth. That isn't what a Pokemon is supposed to be like, they are after all magical creatures, and how they were designed is how they should look. He does an incredible job of actually bring a real Pokemon into the world, without changing anything drastically about the design. It would be cook to do a Maganium, Venusaur, or a Leafeon, I am more partial to Grass-type Pokemon.

Man, I don't know why, but i find myself in an emotional felling about Lugia Edition. I really like your instructions, but the soundtrack fits perfectly. I don't wish find this kind of thing frequently but sometimes this is the "cake's cherry" that make me comeback allways here to get high with yout jobs.

Amazing work as always, but I feel like using pure grey for all the shading makes them look kinda dirty, like they just escaped a house fire. Maybe try giving the shading a tint of color instead of it just being grey? Idk just a thought.

God this art is insane haha. I have a series on the channel where I'm going through the entire Pokédex making my own versions for every shiny Pokémon but after seeing this my god the art out here is immense haha. Hopefully as the series grows I can make art are crrrrisp as this.

I'd love to see more. Especially since we had a few from detective pikachu. Your squirtle looked more like a turtle then the detective pikachu one but they were trying to keep the cute factor of pokemon. Where as your making them look like real animals. I like it and hope you make more

If you want to make a result more realistic and detailed than these pokemon you have to try on some more "animalistic" Pokémon! Like Ursaring or Rapidash, maybe Houndoum, or even some of the cats, birds etc.. Do some Pokemon that are close to reality so that you can expand this difference!

Lugia have the ability "Multiscales" which mean it have scales not feathers,the people have no evidence to wherever that Wing came from,they never even saw it in the first place

Umbreon, Darkrai, or Gengar would look so cool because of the dark theme and u could add so much amazing detail to them! Would love a second episode.

This type of series is a great idea! Realism on iconic characters, like Final Fantasy or Mario or Fortnite.

The first two were absolutely wonderful! I especially thought that Rayquaza was the best one out of all three. Lugia kind of fell flat for me, though (which is sad because it's one of my favorites). I think it might have been the chest fur 😅

I think Lugia turned out the best in terms of making something that doesn’t really have a real life equivalent work. I agree, the fur - I probably would have gone with scales or maybe feathers. I began to see Lugia as a feathered dinosaur combining elements of birds and dragon and I actually feel like I could imagine it in real life now.
