A nother good video , thanks!! When u started using only hand tools i didn't trast my accurate skills so i bought a pair of good quality levelers made out of Aluminium good quality and not expensive and i am using them since. But making a pair is on my wishing list!

Nice to see an alternative technique to many other YT videos - it's always good to see a new way of doing things. My own winding sticks are simplistic; two quarter-sawn and planed parallel redwood sticks (made in a few minutes), both 16 inches long. One has 2 inches on each end at the top darkened with black marker pen for contrast, while both have vertical black marker lines in the middle for centring on the board.

Great vid I just discovered your channel and binge watching! How do you deal with condensation in your shed, as all your tools look super clean and rust free ?

Glad you found my channel and enjoying the content, Welcome! As for condensation, I live in Perth and don’t tend to get major condensation issues although it does still happen. This may be due to my shed not being insulated or maybe just luck, I’m not sure. There are a few things that I do to help prevent rust and tarnish on my tools: 1) Wipe off all dust on my tools when I’m done in the shed usually with a brush. This is because rust on the surface holds moisture on the metal and causes rust 2) Try to remember to wipe finger prints off metal surfaces. Skin oils and acids cause rust to form on metal surfaces 3) Wipe off any moisture if you notice any condensation 4) Apply paste wax or light machine oil to all bare metal surfaces, this gives a barrier to help prevent rust if moisture does get on the surface. Of course rust still occurs and when I noticed it I clean it off with 0000 steel wool and denatured alcohol or metho. Then apply a new coat of paste wax or light machine oil once again. It really is an ongoing process and regularly checking your tools and catching rust early and preventative maintenance is your best bet.
