We were hired to level a small plot of land so that the owner could use it to drive and park vehicles on it. The land is covered with the remnants of an old building, which has been demolished for some time. Nature has already worked hard to reclaim the land and it is now covered in vegetation.

Nasty looking site that, I'd be nervous for the tyre's especially as they look new and no doubt expensive to replace

Tyres fitted last year (2021) at an eye-watering cost of £3,000... Whenever I'm on a site like this I am constantly surveying the ground for any obstacles that could cause issues, like a twig or piece of wood that could knock an oil filter off or things that could cause tyre damage.

I'd have been tempted to put the forks under that car to put it out of the way.

Hi Paul, I bought a 1984 3CX a few months back, it needs some work (only goes in reverse) but nice to see your videos putting them to use. Looking at the site you are levelling is seems to have some drystone retaining walls so be careful not to dig below where they start. Cheers Form the Sunshine Coast, QLD

Hi Nigel, Thanks for watching and the comment. Hope you get your 3CX sorted, could be something simple like the direction lever switch or the forward/reverse solenoid on top of the transmission. Yes I was watching the wall, all turned out well in the end.

If you are in the county, you are looking at around £250, 8am - 1pm. That includes travel, fuel and a driver. Hope that help?

@@PSExcavationsLLC I don't see how you can stay afloat at that price. Backhoe Operators charge $100+ per hour here in USA & that was roughly 10 years ago.

@@cyberbiker0 It is a competitive price for this part of England. But I agree the rates should be higher as it takes a lot of expense and effort to own a piece of equipment. $100+ an hour seems a fair rate.

La maquina no se pone asi se pone la pala recta hacia abajo no volvcada hacia abajo Los estabilizadores se ponen con el asiento atras no alante se acelera con el asiento atras no alante asi no se excava muy mal

Gracias por ver nuestros videos y vuestro comentario. No creo que entiendas los fundamentos de operar una retroexcavadora. La forma en que configuré la máquina funciona bien para mí y lo ha hecho durante más de 25 años. Si tuviera una máquina, sería libre de operarla de la mejor manera para usted y la máquina.

Hello there! Thank you for your comment😊 I have radial tires fitted on this machine, which always look softer than cross-ply ones. I run 45 psi in the front and 30 psi in the rear. I find any higher in the front is too bouncy on the road, as we travel the machine from job site to job site. As for speeds, on flat you are looking at 23 /24 miles an hour.

those front tires are way low. they should have 50psi. by the looks of it, they're pushing 30psi. otherwise, fairly decent job
