Tried our hand at making wooden puzzles using our xTool M1. Granddaughter loves the puzzles and we love being able to make puzzles we know she will enjoy.

Why didnt someone tell me about laser cutters/engravers, years ago. We keep coming up with tons of ideas to make and are still having a ton of fun!

I was not available when granddaughter started playing with the puzzles. I was thrilled when I saw the clips. So cool to hear her scream for her favorite "Skye", character. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and Santa was good to you!

Hi, great video, What were the products and ratios for that thing you applied before you engraved the Paw patrol character to make it engrave thicker and furthermore do you need to leave that to dry before you engrave?

I apologize for the delayed response. I initially had issues with engraving. The images just did not appear dark enough so I tried the chemical to help make it darker. In all honesty, I am leaning towards adjusting the laser power and speed to get it darker. It takes too long to apply chemicals and let them dry. I am no longer convinced it is best option. Oops paint thickness > laser beam thickness 😅😅

LOL!! I thought I took into consideration, the width of the laser cut and limited the coats of paint. I then let it dry for several days to ensure the paint cured and did not cause sticking, BUT!!! No luck. still stuck. It was more about the paint sticking and not the thickness of paint. Probably needed much longer curing. Lesson learned.

Sorry it was not clear enough. The pieces got stuck. I knew this was a possibility if the paint was not thoroughly dry, first. even after 96 hour drying time, they still stuck. Lesson learned. :-) Thank you so very much for watching our video and for leaving an attentive question. We appreciate it very much.
