Chapter 2 in the Whip Sword journey. Today I'm making the Karakuri Katana from EAs new videogame Wild Hearts. The blade is a 90cm long san mai construction attached to a 36cm long handle. Extended we're looking at a length of 170cm from tip to pommel. I absolutely love how this project turned out.

I'm not saying don't ever make normal blades again, but I'm really enjoying watching you redesign and improve the concept of a whip sword. Seeing you troubleshoot the issues that come up is really interesting and, personally, I don't think I'd ever get bored of it. You need to do what you're passionate about but making a usable whip sword that works almost as it does in fiction seems doable and I'd love to see you perfect it. Whatever your plans for the future are, just keep having fun with everything

I am sorry, those gears are too freaking big to hide in that katana... I took 2 stills, there is no transistion between gears and blade, it is just... POP blade.

If you redo the gears in a planetary gear formation, you could reinforce them with metal pins and incorporate them into the handle itself. Also, lubricate them with graphite. Also, maybe reach out to the Lockpicking Lawyer or Stuff Made Here for ideas for something better for the links. Maybe some sort of slide locking mechanism that lets you assemble everything at the same time instead of before forging.

@@BreakNiche i know that already. That's why I almost believed it. Well, Chinese holding companies are just as bad. As on Opera, and ARK survival's Wildcard Studio, Snail Games. The most terrifying ones are the holding companies, really. They have nothing. They're just hallow phantoms that go around and cause chaos with a bundle of money. Also, I've never understood the bending the knee for shareholders. I get what they are there for, but they're not the CEO. Like, for example Cyberpunk 2077, the release was pushed closer because of the shareholders, but let's say CDPR ignored and dismissed the shareholders instead and released a completely good game by sacrificing a few shareholder pennies and thus, making a better product and higher sales overall, wouldn't shareholders make more money if it was sold more often?! Like, I don't see why impatient shareholders should be anywhere to be taken seriously when they're just bunch of children that throw money at you and will profit off of you regardless. Either you invest, make profit and shut the hell up or you don't invest in the company and do it somewhere else. Like goddamn.

My suggestion, for all mechanism components use ALWAYS mild steel. It forgeweld very easy and It will stay soft even if you quench it. 3D printer will help you a lot in many things (especially with DIY tools) so it was very good investment. Great work Sven! I concur about the 3D printer. Since we got ours in the shop in 2020 designing prototype parts & tools has become infinitely easier. Instead of having to fabricate a part & see if it's fully functional we can just print out a few variations then once we have found the one that works the best we can send it off to be made out of billet on the CNC machine. So what used to take weeks in some cases has been reduced to hours or a few days. It really is a game changer. Wish I had one 15 years ago LMAO.

The Bible is truth. To understand this you must do the inner work Jesus Christ taught. It all starts with forgiveness from the heart. Start by finding the grievances we all build up with our parents. They have generally raised fed loved us to some degree. Looking inside, realizing that they are people who make mistakes too, and genuinely forgiving them everything shows an important aspect of your soul to God. Genuinely mean absolute forgiveness inside your heart. This is key. To be forgiven we must forgive. This step teaches you why Jesus Christ is lord, and why you need to break down to him and ask for forgiveness. Afterwards read Genesis, Mathew, and one book of the Bible you chose yourself. These four steps have important spiritual significance and are like milestones within our souls. Please trust me. Genuinely open your heart up to God. It is all true. Jesus Christ is the way truth and life. 😊

That's Zabimaru. EA plagiarizing Bleach?
@EBAH96
@EBAH96 Ай бұрын
Nahh, ik your aware but zabimaru is way different, just because it functions similar to zabimaru doesn't mean its copied after it, if that were the case the katana would be same as the kopesh simply cause they're swords.
