If I remember correctly T-rex in zoo tycoon 2 actually has two sizes. When you adopt them they are juvenile and then they get bigger when they mature.

You are right about T-rex having two sizes but growing to full size gimmick is only used by deinosuchus and whale shark. Only way to get larger T-rex is having high % in cloning minigame

I remember when ZT2 dinosaurs came, years after JPOG, and the models and animations were just... so bad... I only discovered mods in 2015 and it rebirthed ZT2 for me. 🤩

Fun fact: tyrannosaurus rex is the largest terrestial predator we know of. The largest specimen we know of "scotty" is 10.4 metric tonnes. The second largest predator giganotosaurus was only 9 metric tonnes. The 3 largest theropods in the jurassic franchise also are only 9 tonnes (spinosaurus, giganotosaurus and indominus rex) T-rex also has the best eyesight of any animal ever and also great senses of smell and hearing. It also could have felt a bit of electricity just like sharks, platypus and echidna. It also is as smart as an baboon and it can hold 200 pounds with one arm.

There's not a chance in hell its eyesight was better than modern birds of prey, and that neuron count study is taken so far out of context it's ridiculous. Tyrannosaurus was not as intelligent as baboons, they had a similar number of neurons in their brains. Given we're talking about an animal close to ten times the size of even the largest baboon, and has a brain proportioned very differently than a baboon's, that is not all that big of an achievement. Yes, dinosaurs were a lot smarter than most people give them credit for, but to assume primate level intelligence is just as bad

Best eyesight of any animals?!?! Intelligence of a Baboon. No way that is true. First of all there is no way to know how good the eyesight is or any reason to think it has the best eyesight ever. And no way it’s primate level smart. I would at least like sources to back all this up

incorrect, the oxygen levels in the mesozoic were lower during the triassic and jurassic, and about the same as today in the cretaceous

I spent a ridiculous amount of the 2000s in that game. But I get it from today's zoo builder point of view, it's REALLY not a habitat building game... just plop down some fences, and there you go (just like Jurassic Park in the films).
