Back then you also needed a province from Ming. The patches overtime made this achievement more accessible.

fun historic fact: After King Tabinshwehte unified most of modern burma he was assassinated shortely after so the country went full rebel mode and basically almost every kingdoms he has conquered declear independent. But general bayinnaung managed to unified most of burma again but it cost alot of unnecessary death. And despite all of this Taungu was the largest empire in indo-china region so imagine what would happen if the king was never assassinated.

It is also considered to be the end of the age of petty kingdoms in south east asia. After the collapse of the first Toungoo Empire, the states that emerged were more centralized and could be considered to have the foundations of a modern nation state. The impact of the first Toungoo Empire on late medieval and early modern south east asia is hard to overstate, in that regard.

Didn't realise they have a decent mission tree, I assumed it was a skeleton tree where they have a few unique ones. May give this a go, last campaign I did was True Heir of Timur so still kinda in the region but still. That Timurid blob into India in the west in this is also quite interesting. 2 Invaders into India, the Great Burmese Empire and the Descendants of Tamurlane..

I tried for this achievement once a couple of years ago but Ming took one of the provinces I needed. With the changes in Ming's behaviour since then I should give it another try.

One of the more fun achievements. There's just something great about turning a "where even is that" OPM into a major power. Same for Mulhouse. Lippe and mighty Dithmarschen!

This is even better because is historical (kind of). The real Toungoo did it between 1530-1550.

I got this achievement around 1480 and 2 months later I accidently declared bankruptcy while trying to decrease inflation. I was planning to continue after that but rage quitted xd

what does bankruptcy do in-game? I've never pressed that button

I just tried this achievement and got it in 1473! I remember trying to get this a beginner a few years ago and it was really hard for me so I never attempted it again until now. I think I wasn't used to how to get around big alliance blocks and diplomacy but now it was much easier than I remember

There appears to be a bug of some sort recently where an ally can call you in to a war against a country you are already fighting, as this also happened to me in my campaign. Fortunately you can just accept and nothing happens, like what happened to you.

Hi! This video motivates me to do it myself! Could you do "The Animal Kingdom" as next achivement run? I'm sure that will be very interesting and new to playing as Animist Horde (for "Ganges Khan" achievement)

I saw Florry get the Bohemian one without getting a port. I think he allied two or maybe more of the Irish minors and vital interested one of the other ones, which he then vassalized and from there conquered Pale

the burmese and and tibetian cultures used to be united back when this was added with MoH. and damn it was hard in the first patches after moh when ming had no chill

I found it very easy personally as well. i never really struggled with AE or anything, and Bengal war was easy when allying Jaunpur.

It is really not an easy achievement. It requires very quick decision and action.

Didn't Red Hawk accidentally do this super early in an A-Z video? I remember him full annexing Ava, inheriting their tributaries, and then there was a mission to instantly annex all of them. I think he went on to form Tibet.

@ZlewikkTV Oh that was definitely it! Thanks for reminding me. I couldn't remember what nation he started as in that video so I was a bit confused. That mission definitely would've been OP for this achievement so I was wondering why you couldn't use it.

Yeah, thankfully I’d class this achievement more like “a decent test of skill” rather than a big slog. I can’t imagine this would have been a fun achievement back in the day if the mission tree didn’t help out.

My bane always come from Pegu having ally. Defeating them with their fort are already tricky enough but when they have ally it became 10× worse. And if they ally Ayuthaya that's restart. I take Ardabil, Byzantine or even Epirus but Taungu just kick my ass haha

Didnt this used to be harder since there was a lot more of your culture group kicking around? Not saying this one is particularly hard since there are no major powers to kill.

The Burmese culture group used to also include Tibetan IIRC which made the achievement much harder

This one looks hard but after being at an even strength with Bengal you've basically made the achievement, the actual question here is how long do you take to reach that position

You don't even need to be at even, just comparable enough to rival them so you can ally one of their other rivals like Juanpur, Orissa, Bahmanis, etc. When I did this I called in Ayyuthaya and (weakened) Juanpur and was able to take the provinces without a fight, just siege while they're distracted and take the two or potentially more provinces. Even though you don't need it I like to take their level 3 centre of trade in the burma node for cleaner borders and more trade money

you make it appear so easy.. it's a shame! reminds me on my spaghetti western run, took me 40 years to expand, then i got it, and was annexed soon after... still got the achivement though

It use to be impossible in the 1.25 and before because you hard to conquer the Tíbet region too, and they were all tributaries of ming

Hi Zlewikk, I just started my Poland compagnie and accepted privileges that I can't revoke and it's really hurts with its tech cost penalties. Do you know how to revoke these privileges cause I didn't find any info about it?

In order to revoke a privilege granted to an estate, their loyalty needs to be higher than their influence and, depending on the privilege, you may have to wait for 10 years after the date you granted it before you can remove it (for instance, if you granted that privilege in 1444, you may have to wait until 1454)

Hi Zlewikk, I wasn't sure where I can send my proposition so I'll just do it here. I wanted to send a game save for your ruined campaign series although it isn't a ruined campaign. I intentionaly went into religious war and I'm outnumbered 3 to 1 (VH diff). I failed to achieve my goal (to get religious peace, I'm orthodox fighting for protestants), so I was wondering if the best EU4 player can do it, and meanwhile give us advice about religious wars. I hope you will read this, anyways I hope you're having a great day.

I know its Mehmet is new, I meant more so that Toungoo and Timor are "conventionally" doable whereas Mehmet is a sh*tshow, one that I in fact do need a guide for xD
