I've been getting a fair amount of requests to make some tiny terrariums. Well... here's 5 of them. Enjoy!
If you want more specifics on how I made these terrariums, check out How To Terrarium episode 3. It gives more specifics on making your own native terrariums. See the link below.

A cheap coffee grinder would come in handy for these projects, SerpaDesign. I also suggest using a fork when harvesting plants for inexperienced people. It will allow for the tines to pass through the roots while gently extracting them from the dirt unbroken. You can purchase plastic pipettes for about 5 cents a piece, and adding controlled amounts of water and bugs would be a very simple task using those. Other than those few suggestions I absolutely love this tutorial! It combines two of my favorite things, small swell containers and plants. It's almost February here in Minnesota so I am very sad to not be able to run out and create a few of these myself!

Hello there, they all look beautiful, I just would like to know what are the springtails for and how long do they last. Thank you
@SerpaDesign
@SerpaDesign 7 жыл бұрын
The springtails help control and mold outbreaks and aid in creating a natural decomposition cycle. They will last as long as the terrarium does, which is indefinitely.

I'm so happy that I found this channel! I must try to make a terrarium, although, not THAT small - I would never have the patience to do so. My apartment doesn't receive much light, is hard to keep plants... And the few random ones that are able to survive end up being destroyed by my curious cat. This may be a solution!

When collecting plants and soil from outside, how do you make sure there are no pests in the plants/soil? I love making terrariums but I'm not fond of having bugs in my house (if I can avoid it).
