Nicely done.. I still have the custom Hungarian bow made for me while I served with the US Army during Bosnia campaign. A Hungarian gentleman came to our camp through the USO demanstraighting mounted horse back shooting and teaching and sell his bows to the troop. mine has a 48 pound pull at 30 inches with max draw of 33. It is a lot of fun.

@@2PounderPlanter Not so sure . If I show up at a shooting event with A bodnik slick stick . I can shoot barebow or long bow ( if I have wood arrows) ,or traditional categories . So by definition this would be a trad bow .

Beautiful bow, quality workmanship. Hungarian horsebow has prononced siyahs, no stringbridge and is asymetrique above and below handle. Would you make it?

No. As soon as you mix it it will start to cure.

You should lower the top of your bandsaw and decrease the gap.

DONT USE YOUR FINGER TO PUSH WITH A BANDSAW PLEASE!!!! Use scrap. It’s hard working without a finger. Be safe.

Я не хочу заниматься этим профессионально, но интересно себе и пплемяннику сделать по луку в пределах 10-15 кг, с какой толщины ламелей посоветуете начать опыт? Существуют ли отличия по плотности в стекловолокне?

Дело в том что сделать два лука сразу не выйдет, этот первое. Толщины ламелей все а пределах 2 мм , оплошность стеклопластика сейчас говорить не приходится

@@ArtistArchery You never googled for historical information? How did they build laminat in the 14th/15th century? What did they use as glue. How did they manage to make curved wood?

@@ArtistArchery Well, as glue I think they used animal glue. Or maybe tree pitch. They got it curved with steam, and had like 30-60 seconds per laminate to build the structure. And for sure, all the hand work. They probably had swollen fingers all the time...:) Maybe try doing it like that for a challenge? I think you provide the skills.

You will need 70lbs or more, for hunting bow / ideal shooting range plus heavy arrow head need more power.. 45lbs just enough for fun or hunting rat or rabbit cmiiw

No, you don't need that much. Very few people can shoot a 70 pound bow. I shoot 62 and my bow will give a complete pass through on an elk and that is with only a 26 inch draw. 45 pounds with a draw of 28 or more with the right arrow and point will take large game easily.

Or traditional bow? compound is very very fast with smaller lbs.. for traditional bow 70lbs is needed but depend shooting range, most animal target need minimum 50-70m shooting distance for better result.. except you climbing and stay, hide in tree you can shoot easily with less distance = less lbs

@@UncleDanBand64 well, each bow has different character also the arrow stiffness, in modern day we count / measuring arrow speed and energy using chronometer. carbon fiber arrow is / more efficient than wooden arrow, spine and stiffness, weight of arrowhead and hunting method is determine hunting result

Yes my bow shoots 211 fps that is very fast for a longbow and way more speed than needed. If not for the fact that I hunt elk I would shoot a much lighter bow. I just got in a horse bow 50 pounds. I believe I could kill anything on the planet with it.@@nurfatrochman3726
