Actually, it should have been the middle *and* index fingers. In commonwealth countries, such as the UK, people use the “two finger salute” because those are the fingers with which you would draw a bowstring. Ya’know, to shoot somebody. The middle finger by itself is exclusively an american thing, because it looks like a certain appendage I guess.

@@AmaroqStarwindI’ve never heard of that and I’m pretty sure that’s much less well known seeing as american culture has had such an impact on other countries as well. I mean, the whole reason why 911 directs to 999 in the uk is because children were learning from tv that the emergency number was 911 since it was mostly american shows being shown at the time. I could just be wrong though, but I’ve never heard of anyone using that.

In Failboat style, a summary: Here's the PROBLEM. Wii Sports Resort doesn't feature quite enough violence to quench my undying thirst for gore, and I'd like to change that. THE SOLUTION: Using this meme concept, we sign up to be a Nintendo developer to access their files and use a version of Unity compatible with the Wii U to MODIFY THE GAME OURSELVES.

I had an idea for a 3DS game called "Kill Mii" where it was basically Wii Play but each of the minigames involved doing terrible and violent things to the Miis, or minigames were you were trying to protect said miis from as much violence as possible.

Just imagine working on the GameCube, I love that console but I've heard horror stories from developers, and back then it wasn't like you could pull up Unity engine or something like that. Fortunately the GameCube, Wii and Wii U are all very alike so by the Wii U most developers knew what they were doing.

If you could put Nintendo's Wii U SDK files on the Internet Archive for when Nintendo inevitably shutters the 3DS and Wii U for good then that would be great for Wii U Homebrewers in the next several years and decades to come. I know copyright is a thing, but in my mind, if the original copyright holder isn't offering and making a profit off of a work anymore, then it is up to the people to preserve it for the rest of time. That still isn't legal advice though but just saying

For the swordplay, you might want to include the pointer data to add just a little extra precision, and also enable auto-recalibration (a la Skyward Sword), as the Motion Plus is prone to drift. The pointer data might also work with plane thing as well. Oh, and be sure to include the Nunchuck! And add left-handed support. I'm left-handed.

reason why you couldnt link up your cam and the capture at 14:40 is because your phone was recording at a variable frame rate and the capture is at a constant framerate so they drift apart. next time you can reencode the camera video at a constant framerate and they will stay in sync :)))

Reminds me of when I got a Godot "game" working on my Meta Quest 2 a few months ago. There was hardly any help online (despite everything being currently supported) and I have no idea how I did it, but I did it! I don't have any plans to make a VR game in the near future and I don't know how I will replicate everything I did. Hopefully there will be better tutorials online if and when I want to do it.
