I'm making a wooden tray from gorgeous figured walnut. These are going to be for a decorative tray. I decided to make it from walnut, with a plaid-style wooden bottom. In this video, I kick the project off by milling up and assembling the wood plaid pattern. I also designed wooden tray handles and sloped sides. You’ll see how I used a template to cut out the shape with the bandsaw, and then finish up the tray sides at the router table and a flush trim bit.
