ACES Regional Extension Agent Janice Hall introduces us to Sheronda Armstrong, Senior Program Coordinator of the Edmundite Center of Hope, where Sheronda shows us how to make decorative wreaths from new or recycled plastic tablecloths. The project is a partnership of ACES and the Centennial Project of Autauga County.

I want to thank you for not only posting this great craft, but also going slow and describing everything you did to get the strips... I started to watch another video of this but the lady didn't speak at all, and while those cuts might be obvious to others on how to do them, they weren't me, so your literal step by step saved my sanity !

We made this type Wreath when I was a kid and I had forgotten all about making them until I watched the video! I now am making wreaths and this is such a great idea to do even with fabric Thanks for posting truly enjoyed the video!!

During the depression, I made a wreath with scraps of aluminum foil that I saved. I was ahead of my time.

GiftBasketAppeal, Sheronda measures the strips to be about 2" across. She didn't let us know the length though. Sorry about that...To answer your question, the strips look to be about 8"-10" long. Very nice, I sow this long time ago, but I decided to look back again to get the correct measurements, thanks, (almost 2:10 am here in Puerto Rico) pretty soon times to celebrate the Three King, has to go to bed, I would try to make the Wreath with all the left over plastic. Thanks God bless you.

i learned this in sunday school with thick green garbage bags.. we made a loop with the strips and put it on the bk side of hanger an brought the ends intonthe loop and pulled. using the table cloths looks nicer.

If we are doing one color only, how many tablecloths do I need to complete one full wire hanger wreath? How many strips does a tableclothes yeild aprox, and how long to make?

Length is 6" and you'll use almost 1 tablecloth and have a few left over. That's if only one color used. (Hint: I watch other videos doing the same thing to see if something can be done easier. For example, in this video, I learned an easier technique to cut the strips (much thinner) and that the single strips don't have to be cut to points). I try to work smarter not harder.
