This is lovely! I love your way of making more cells, they came out so great! I had a couple of questions though, but I haven’t watched any other of your videos yet, is there a reason you don’t use a torch? I know a torch helped me make cells. Also, I loved how you used a squeeze bottle to squeeze more titanium white under the colors you poured. I was wondering if you think that might work with a just pouring a couple of colors, maybe a puddle pour? I’m going to have to experiment now! I moved away from doing pours for awhile but this has inspired me to get back into it! Love this! Thanks!
@paulstartart1356

Hi Erica, thank you so much for your comment..I love to hear when people find my channel inspiring.. I only use the torch to pop any bubbles,over torching can ruin a piece in my opinion.. The squeeze bottle works fine in a puddle pour, usually adding more action to the overall finish.. All the very best with the pouring.. 🖐🙏😀

wondered why you poured off so much of the paint seemed like a waste but then you get these beautiful cells that are outlined in colors.....and a marbling effect which is not easy to get . gave me something new to try as I am not happy with my outcomes in the last couple days........adding the cells at the end gave a really cool effect .......do they just spread on their own over time.? I would be worried that they would just sit there but yours didnt. Anyways as always love the effects ..........
@paulstartart1356
@paulstartart1356 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Rainfeather, Re adding your own cells.. It all depends on how much liquid you drop in.. I tend to do larger ones at the edge reducing the amount as I move inwards.. They naturally swell over a forty minute time span so take that into account also.. Lots of potential there, tilting will throw up something different.. Best of luck with the pouring..👍🖐😀🙏

Hello Paul, your work is always great! Can you tell me the title of the music in the beginning? That would be very kind! Thank you so much!

Hi Gaby, thank you for pointing that out. I usually list the artist in the video description.. The music is taken from youtube's music library Chris Zabriskie, Undercover vampire policeman . Thank you so much for your comment 🖐🙏😀

Hi Cherie, I dip smaller canvas boards in the run off, or keep the interesting parts for jewellery. Thanks for your comment 🖐🙏😀

It’s beautiful and unique. For some reason I just can’t get cells. If I us silicone, the cells are distorted and dinky.

Hi Sheila, I hear you, I didn't use silicone for a long time bc I didn't like the cells they created.. It really is trial and error.. Maybe try just adding it to one of the colours in the mix? If your looking for natural cells as in some of the techniques I use. Mixing the white base coat into the colours nearly always result in cells.. If your going for dropping them into the piece as I did in this one.. Try adding a little metallic silver into the mix.. Hope this answers helps.. All the very best with the pouring.. 🖐🤞🙏😀

If you’ve used WD-40 in the past that is the problem. It is sure to create very small, barely formed cells and a lot of them. Try using treadmill silicone instead. “Spot On” brand is sold by Amazon, 4oz for $11.95. Or any brand that is made of dimethicone will do. It makes a world of difference. You are guaranteed to get large, nicely formed, even double & triple paint layered cells. Best of luck to you!

That's an awesome piece of work and the music is so soothing. Listening and watching just mesmerizes me. I did want to ask, what is the little tool you are using to apply the white and silver dots. It looks like a squeeze syringe but I can't be sure. Also can you tell me where you acquired it?. Many thanks and please keep on making these wonderful videos
