@@nakedapprentice I'll let you know🤟🤟. I use a sp001 for longer cuts and this little one for shorter cuts. The 005 is really light weight.

Hope the bro is ok. What cause the floor to rot out? Seems odd, was it sitting too close to the ground or something?

Yup, James is doing ok. He’s out of his cast now, but still off work for 5 more weeks. The company that built the house used untreated ply, which is just daft for a tiny house. It had already been patched with treated ply, but we ripped out everything and replaced it with treated ply. I’ll probably be back there for a few small jobs once the new kitchen is ready.

Oh man that little saw is almost enough to justify the jump to the 40v lol Shame I just bought a new 18v circ saw.

It sure is a little beast. It's just not as much of a tank as my bigger saw, but it's still my go to for most work. The latest 18V saws are still pretty good though. 40V is worth the jump though if you want the extra power. There were a couple of things I forgot to mention. Firstly, the Amazon price I included was for the skin only, so you're looking at a few hundred extra for a battery and charger. Secondly, you won't have a warranty from your local Makita, so it's a bit of a risk.
