Thanks for the video and comparison! Do you notice a difference between them on low speeds for precision work? Like the trigger response on ultra low speeds. And whether the brushless cuts in and out with the same control as the brushed?
@pero7439 Жыл бұрын
For low speed precision, I must say the newer brushless is definetly the better of the two! Trigger feels more linear and controllable for doing small screws and drillbits! I do have some more comparisons planned, just haven't had much sparetime lately! Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for your reply! That’s a relief to hear! I read someone else’s comment on some video a while ago, that they didn’t feel the same fine control for stuff like small screws and such and tha it was harder to not strip the screw, like it would kick in with a higher minimum speed than intended or it would cut out late and drive screws down further than intended. I’m using a DHP453 cause my DHP482 has a failty switch unit. It sucks so much! It won’t always run and when it does it’ll only run full speed. Even tried drilling small holes in the enclosure and spray contact cleaner into it. Doesn’t help and the spare part costs 2/3 of a new DHP485. The DHP482 is a little cheaper but I’ve been hesitant to order a new cause I’ve had problems deciding whether to go for the brushless. I’d like the smaller weight and size but I want a reliable tool. Maybe I should just go for the DHP485. The DHP484 probably isn’t worrh the extra cost

Thanks for the comparison, but isn't the hammer function part of the reason the old one is longer and heavier?
@pero7439 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! And yes that is one of the factors, tho I don't see the need for a "hammer function" in a tool like this! I do see the need for one in a cheaper "do it all" drill, but in a expensive drill like this? nah! Got some interesting Makita Videos coming soon (when I get the time to edit it) Have a good one!

@@pero7439 I'm curious to why you think a hammer function on this would be obsolete, is it because you expect someone that owns this to own a seperate tool with a hammer function? I just bought this DDF485 as a 'allrounder' and am now realising I might need to switch it for a DHP484 (or similar). I am an artist and thus have a wide range of uses for my tools (wood, metal, concrete and plastic), but they do not see extreme usage (power or durability). What are your thoughts?
@pero74395 ай бұрын
Hello, and thank you for the question! To answer that in short: The hammer function on a normal drill like this isn't really suited to drill many holes in harder stuff, like modern concrete etc. But if you need a "one in all" drill, that can do the occasional hole in cement, concrete or LECA, this is perfectly fine! Also yes, generally people who buy a hammer drill, buys it for one purpose, especially at this price point! For your usecase, a DHP 484 sounds like a excellent choice -Kla3 @@onlyusememontana

@@pero7439 Thank you very much for your answer! It cleared some things up and gave me some much needed verification haha I think the DHP 484 or the DHP 489 will be my final choice :) In the future I can always get a seperate impact/sds if needed Greetings

@user-fe2gk9rk2w Жыл бұрын
@armdrk32332 жыл бұрын
Do they both have variable speed triggers?? The cost nearly the same. 482 is brushed but more powerful 60 Nm torque.485 is brushless but weaker with 50 Nm torque.
@pero74392 жыл бұрын
Yes, both variable triggers :)
@djiflyer7577 Жыл бұрын
What is your advice? 482, brushed but more torque or 485 brushless but less torque?
