Your statement was true and hilarious, "Some guys will say, oh that was designed to be in there, or they would not have put it in. well guess what.... I designed it to be taken out. This is my build, not the factory's. I'm just using their stuff"

I peeled my ps6400 muffler open like opening up a solenoid on a car.gutted everything inside added 2 more ports.i took each tube in about 5/8" recrimped it.huge difference with no limiters on the carb adjustment.

Harvey I take chanelle lock pliers and start at the first groove in the nose of the jaws and cut it a bit deeper and narrow it to the tip so you can get it under a lip Easyer. I do both upper and lower this was because I use them to clean aluminium radiators with plastic tanks for scrap. I think this might help to open a muffler like that. 😊👍👍👍

The exhaust manifold gaskets for a 3406E cat have a tube that extends into the port like that muffler does, they claim that it increases volicity and helps get that heat out of the head, a lot of the early ones failed broke off and would takeout the turbo when they broke they were made onto the gaskets

Back when I was contracting, pipe welding mainly and CHANNEL LOCK brand is the way to go, I like the really small ones they were perfect for that line of work, my baby locks I calledem well as the rest of my guys, i was on a 3/4 nut..with my BABY LOCKS, way too much rod for my small ones, well I broke 3rd gear out of them, used them right on...tookem back to lowers, channel lock brand, blue handles...and they replaced mine with a brand new one right off the shelf, if yuh dont have any or just randoms(like harve said name brand stuff is way to go) get the 3 pack channel lock brand, wont slip gears and if you bust one u new one free...and you have one for any size..cant beat it with a stick..

As the saying goes you get what you pay for, I don’t mind buying cheaper scanners if I am going to grind them down for a job or cut and weld I think somewhere along the line we have all done it. I think it is Carlton that has a replacement 6 rivet tip for the tsumura bars. The new echo 7310 is still a adjustable carby. The saw sounds great, used to use the big dollars in the eighties and have been a fan since. Cheers and stay safe.

I had a question about oil holes on a bar i got a new bar for my husky 257 and oregon decided to make a small hole thats at an angle. They say the small hole creates more velocity which keeps it from getting clogged. What are your thoughts about that?
