The cordless my wife has been using at home (bare wood floors, linoleum, not on rugs) had the battery die a couple months back. She refused to buy a Dyson or Shark; too expensive. I showed her this, was going to get it for my shop. It shows up and now I have to buy another for my shop. She really likes it, just a bit noisy. And no problem with dead batteries what with all the cordless DeWalt tools I own I have enough batteries to last years.

Does this work on carpet?
@tooolboxx3 ай бұрын
@@SellingNewYorkCiti Depends on how deep your carpet pile is. Ours are not very deep so she uses the DeWalt for a quick clean but we have a corded upright that she runs over them about once a month. Remember that there is no beater feature so it won't get deep down or "heavy" dirt.

I love a review where 'it sucks!' Is a benefit rather than a criticism 😅

I have owned the Makita for over 5 years, and it has served me well. I bought the DeWalt DCV501H a month or so ago, and it is a beast. I also got some cheap, aftermarket filters to go with it and some foam socks to go over them. The plan is to take extreme care of the original DeWalt HEPA filter and use it only in the house. The others will get blown out with an air gun regularly, which I suspect will 'open them up' a bit for even better suction. These better flowing filters will be covered with the foam socks and used in the shop, or anywhere else power is more important than HEPA filtration. The foam socks can simply be shaken off in the waste can and hand washed in the sink, then squeezed out and hung up to dry. So far so good. 😎 I

I have the Dewalt and mostly use it for active dust collection when I'm cutting or drilling. It's nice because I can hang it from my belt and the included flex hose is long enough to reach the dust port on the tools. For those concerned with noise levels, I just picked up the Dewalt "Stealthsonic" shop vac (corded) and it is amazing. It is so quiet I was talking on the phone while I was clearing water from 1.5" conduits.

Just ordered the Dewalt via Amazon for $99. Hoping to use for light household cleanup (dog hair, sand, dust, cereal spils etc…).

Long life to the king of cordless vacuum 💪🏻 we had 2 cordless dewalts where I was working before, amazing vacuum with a 6 ah battery it lasted about 33 minutes each battery ez to use, clean and maintain, where I work right now they don't even have vacuums and because I needed something quick, I had to buy and off and unknown brand called KXX, the vacuum does the job but the batteries don't, it only last 12 minutes with the same 6 ah batteries, I learned my lesson to not buy cheap and untrusted brands anymore.

Has anyone used the Milwaukee m18 0882 (the one that looks like the Dewalt here) I like the style of gun trigger that the m18 has. But the Dewalt is about a pound lighter, and might be more powerful. I don't think I like the idea of an on/off switch on this style vacuum. Point & shoot is really nice for spot cleaning the house IMO

These Makita blue translucent dust collector bodies have well documented issues with cracking around the nozzle area. Mine is 2 months old, and has many cracks already. How is yours going so far?

Great vid! Im wondering how loud the DeWalt is in comparison to like a normal vacuum, i have the same (or a similar one) ridgid shop vac and its way too loud to use around the house.

I use the dewalt around the house. It’s loud, but works really well. So I don’t mind it.

I think the head makes all the difference. I use my Mellif with a better head cleaner and the results were night and day.

@@TheProgressA How much closer to the Makita and DeWalt hoovers was the Mellif with a better head please/.thanks.

I’ve never actually tried it, though I agree it would probably make a difference. I can put on the list for future video.

dyson with dewalt battery attachment is best but yeah

Sounds like the DEWALT is much louder than the others. That's a deal-breaker for me. If they could just put a little R&D into reducing the db enough to not require ear protection to meet osha guidelines.

It’s a construction vacuum not for Harry homeowners.

I can see you favor dewalt already. You stated that it's better you vacuum in a rush with the off brand and Makita the test doesn't prove anything what also made me think you favor dewalt is that you use a 4 hour battery just to prove that its better with less power trying to make it seems dewalt is soo good your giving it a disadvantage i get it you use dewalt everyday everywhere 😅😅 not trying to say dewalt sucks all my power tool are dewalt but their vacuum sucks in a bad way the off brand is much stronger
