Hello Cynthia, My name is James and I am an original member of DFW Mass. Kirk is also a cousin of mine. At the time we recorded this album, Kirk was already well known through out the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex from being a young musician playing for various Churches. He was born and raised in Ft. Worth, TX and by the time he was in high school he had a singing group. His ability to play the organ, piano and keyboard, as well as right music and direct choirs is all GOD GIVEN. In fact if you some the singer's for Kirk Franklin and The Family came out DFW Mass. Sheila Brice( Mother) Carrie Young Davis (Mousie) Deidra Hall and Dalon Collins. Thank you so much for listening and supporting GOD'S through DFW Mass Choir. May Abundant Blessing be on you and your family.

Thank you to everyone for your wonderful comments and support of DFW mass Choir. My name is James T. Williams III and myself. my mother and my late brother are original members of DFW Mass. Yes. that is a very young Kirk Franklin on the piano. Kirk was one of the original choir directors and song writers for the choir. He Wrote "Everyday With Jesus, " for the first album " I Will Let Nothing Separate Me. He also "Deliverance" and "Home" for the album with Myrna Summers Titled "Deliverance" and "Another Chance," for the album of the same name.

@@jamesreed927 he wrote for the album, "I Will Let Nothing Separate Me", not the song itself. The song itself was written by the late Phillip Stewart, of the True Way COGIC.

5:10-5:15 A young Kirk Franklin, said to be 19 when this was recorded and on keys, who would’ve thunk what kind of gospel powerhouse he would become! What a throwback!

After this recording a month later Kirk along with some of the DFW people would appear with the gospel music workshop of America Washington D.C. Album even Richard Smallwood appeared on that album I mean the idea of both Kirk and Richard appearing together on the same stage is pretty interesting plus both DFW and the choir very humongous chior from the workshop of America are some of my favorite chiors waaaaaay to many to name. Like DFW they also sang everyday with Jesus although. To be honest I like how the DFW mass choir sang it. But I will always be a workshop fan

I was looking at the piano dude and I thought, hmmm, kina looks like Kirk Franklin, but the zoom didn't focus til about 5 minutes in, then I realized, it IS Kirk Franklin! I had no idea he was playn these songs!! I knew he played and seen some of his concerts where he went old school but this, this is like, in his life, as he's going. I don't even think he was known at this time. This is a trip to see cuz I know this song from childhood, had no idea Kirk was on the keys, once I knew who he was.

I Love this song!!! I heard this song for the first time on February 20, 2022. I am looking at my tablet. I am looking for Kirk Franklin. I am commenting from Norfolk, VA 23513. I want to hear more DFW songs. Did Kirk Franklin get his start with DFW?
