So sad, today’s music don’t compare to these men, and women of gospel who’s gone on to get their reward, and who was anointed, to invoke the Holy Spirit in the place, and souls got saved as a result.

Yes!!!! Daryl Coley is my #1 favorite artist, and John P Kee is #2. I’m 34yo and grew up on old school gospel artist like Daryl Coley, John P Kee, Mississippi Mass, the Williams brothers, Rance Allen, Shirley Caesar, Dottie Peoples, the Clark sisters, the pace sisters, the jackson southernaires, James Moore etc. that was back when you could feel the power of the words/preaching in the music. We don’t have that now. Everything is for show and fame. I still consider myself relatively young, but I much prefer the old shouting, come to Jesus music over what is put out today. I will add Kirk Franklin to that list, but only his old stuff. Like, before the year 2000 music.

You definitely need to go have a listen to his other music. You will not be disappointed. I’ve recently rediscovered his music myself because my mother had one of his CD (when the music stops) when I was growing up (i’m 34yo now).I don’t know how I forgot about him, but i will never forget again. I’ve been listening to him everyday for the last several months. His voice is soothing and when I listen to his music, it really soothes my soul. I’ve been going through some things in my personal life, and just listening to him sing makes me believe that everything will be okay. John P Kee used to be my #1 favorite gospel artist, but Daryl Coley quickly took the #1 spot. Although John P Kee is still one of my favorites. Coming from a music education majors point-of-view, daryl Coley is unmatched. He is definitely a G.O.A.T in music period. I can hear his jazz/classical influences in his music. But, that’s just my humble opinion.

Most hear his voice.... but have no clue how talented and gifted Rev. Darly Coley was, all around! He WAS! Daryl Coley- Record Producer, Arranger, Lead Vocals, Clarinet, Piano, Keyboards Rev Coley had a boldness in his vocal arrangement, this is when you understand the gifts. I've had a few friends who knew him personally, tell me he was a very humble spirit and reverend God more than anything else. At 14, Coley was a member of the ensemble "Helen Stephens and the Voices of Christ". He began performing with Edwin Hawkins in the Edwin Hawkins Singers and then worked with James Cleveland, Tramaine Hawkins, Sylvester, Pete Escovedo and others. Albums of his include Just Daryl, He's Right On Time: Live From Los Angeles, When The Music Stops and others. Rev. Coley was born in Berkeley, California on October 30, 1955. In his childhood, he sang in the Oakland Children's Chorus, in Oakland, California.[3] His parents separated when he was five years old, with he and his two siblings being raised by his mother in a solid Christian home. Musically, Coley was first influenced by his mother. Daryl stated, "In my house there was gospel, classical and jazz. I had that kind of musical influence." During his childhood, he learned to play clarinet and piano.[1] In 1968, when Edwin Hawkins released "Oh Happy Day", the contemporary arrangement caught Rev. Coley's ear. In December 1969, at the age of 13, Rev. Coley first heard Helen Stephens And The Voices Of Christ, and by February of the next year had become a member of the nationally acclaimed ensemble. During his high school years, Coley was a student of Phillip Reeder, Castleers choir director at Castlemont High School. Reeder helped Coley broaden his musical boundaries and even influenced him to advance to college. Rev. Coley's career advanced further as he pursued studies in college; being a top student, working toward a business degree, and even assisting in teaching college courses. Rev. Coley eventually began performing with Edwin Hawkins in the Edwin Hawkins Singers. He played keyboards for The Hawkins Family from 1977 until he left to collaborate with James Cleveland in 1983. Later, he served as musical director for Tramaine Hawkins when she launched her solo career. Concurrently, Rev. Coley branched out in secular circles, singing in jazz clubs, working with artists like Sylvester,[4] Pete Escovedo, and others. He would later collaborate with jazz artists such as Nancy Wilson and Rodney Franklin, and pop artists such as Philip Bailey of Earth, Wind & Fire fame.[citation needed] Coley provided the singing voice of Bleeding Gums Murphy in The Simpsons episode "Dancin' Homer", wherein he performs a comedically over-long version of "The Star-Spangled Banner". In 1986, Rev. Coley released his solo debut album Just Daryl, originally released in 1986 on First Epistle/Plumline Records. The album was nominated for a Grammy award, and was later re-released in 2006. After the success of Just Daryl, he moved to gospel stardom, releasing critically acclaimed albums highlighting his jazz-infused vocal stylings. In 1990, Rev. Coley released He's Right On Time: Live From Los Angeles with Sparrow Records, climbing to the #3 spot on the gospel charts. His following album When The Music Stops, released in 1992, reached #1 on the gospel charts.[5] In 1991, when his albums released under Sparrow Records were achieving national success, Rev. Coley fell sick, experiencing flu-like symptoms. When he visited his doctor (more than two weeks later), he was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, which caused him temporary blindness. He continued to struggle with diabetes. Death On March 15, 2016, Rev. Daryl Coley succumbed to diabetes and died in hospice care from renal failure. He was 60.

You are absolutely correct. Most don’t know how gifted he truly was. To the untrained ear, most only hear a phenomenal singer, but for those of us who studied music know that Daryl Coley is a freaking BEAST!!

Having been deliberately setup with out way to make complaints against them!), Dispatch (neighborhood watch organizations members picking up that 911 call, you'll), them watching our kids going to school, you dropping them off, city workers, transportation, postal service, etc. Example Did you'll know Lansing IL police department got more none police employees, than police (view picture)? Proof of payment to ordinary every day people, in direct handling of friends, co-workers (many paid again by neighborhood watch organizations, now you know why your family members to seem strange) even family paperwork, again with no way to make a complaint against them, cause who do you tell. Remember they are essential workers, them employed both by neighborhood watch organizations and in various different positions in businesses we use! I'm watching intently, listening intently, and am still unable to fully process how this vocal mastery is even possible in one human vessel! And then I dare to think of the source of this mastery - The Creator; the embodiment of all talent. I am now sincerely in a state of spellbinding awe!

May she rest in eternal peace. Just know that God has prepared her and that He still Shepherd her and your family in your time of bereavement. Just know that He is always with you and don’t give up on him. ‘He Shepherds me,’ ‘He’s Preparing Me,’ ‘Don’t Give Up On Jesus,’ and ‘I’ll Be With You’ are my go to songs that Daryl Coley sings when life get tough.
