In this video on malaria fever treatment and management guidelines, i have explained in detail all the symptoms, management guidelines as well as the life cycle of malaria and plasmodium vivax/ovale and plasmodium falciparum. USMLE exams, as well as NCLEX exams, always test students and doctors on treatment and prophylaxis of malaria. Prevention from malaria as well as prophylaxis and different fever pattern of different types of plasmodia have been explained in this video.

i have used synriam, pyramax, piperaquine plus artem; mefloquine plus artem, artem plus lumenfanrin; sulpha based to no respite. i get better for 10 days with chloroquine. For the first time , i recently used Malarone, no good. Am looking for Primaquine

Good effort but artemether-lumifanterine 4 tab .... hmmmm i think its without dose culculation and strength of tab sometime one tab inform of Ds is equal to two tabs in plain same for dihydroartemesinine -piperaquine...

Doctor Atif, it depends upon the brand you are using if you are using Artem-DS or Gen-M, you may use 1 tablet twice daily. But I only explain generic forms of drugs. This dosing is taken from Oxford Handbook of Medicine 10th Edition. 😊
