Malaysia's anti-graft agency seizes property owned by former finance minister's family

Malaysia's anti-corruption commission MACC has seized the 60-storey Ilham Tower in Kuala Lumpur. The iconic commercial building is owned by the family of two-time finance minister Daim Zainuddin. The seizure is part of an investigation into a US$500 million corporate transaction that took place in 1997, at the height of the Asian stock market meltdown. Melissa Goh reports from Kuala Lumpur.

Full support TO MACC. Corruption is rooted in the system. That perhaps is the reason why Malaysia is never peaceful due to toxic politics being played again and again because of those having interests in the corrupt system and want to have that power to continue their corrupt life.

Daim was given free reign by that Mahatir to deal with the govt coffers and there is no mention of the 207b compensation from the Japanese govt for the people who suffered.
