Nasi Goreng or Fried Rice is a common food among Asian countries. It doesn't belong exclusively to Indonesian cuisine. Nasi = Rice, Goreng = Fried. It kinda same with Rissotto

No, "Nasi Gorenng" does not mean INDONESIAN fried rice, nothing to do with Indonesia. It simply means "fried rice" in Malay, MALAYsia's national language..

As a Malaysian, please for goodness sakes... Please DO NOT promote Jalan Alor... Reason why? Simple... because they have the WORST FOOD and the prices are just expensive. Ask any locals on where to get good food and they will tell you. Please ask any local person. I'm 100% sure we as Malaysians are more than happy to point you to some REAL Good Food.

Must try char kuey teow (stir fried flat noodles) and roti canai (naan like pancake with curry) before leaving Malaysia. Try out Malay kuih muih (snacks/coconut based dessert variety) and Seremban siu pau (baked bbq bun). Also try ais kacang or cendol if you wanna try our cool desserts. One more thing-give teh tarik (“pull” tea) a try, which is milk tea. It’s pretty yummy

Nasi goreng simply means fried(goreng) rice (nasi) nothing specifically to say it’s Indonesian or not. I’m not too sure if it’s officially Indonesia’s National Dish though. The difference between a laksa noodle and a curry noodle is the broth - the laksa broth should be more watered down, where the curry noodle broth should be much more robust. But at times, some sellers do not hv a very distinct difference.

You know what, when you messed up using 'Indonesian' Nasi Goreng, In Country of Malaysia, you creating a war between two of these country... we always fight over to claim who own this culture, who own that food, who own those fashion, who own these language etc... That the truth is, Both of those Malay Race came from the same ancestors... well, it just political... So I would advise you to not to messed up using Indonesia and Malaysia... if you in Malaysia, just use Malay or Malaysia... while in Indonesia, use Indo, Malay or Java, or whatsoever they called themselves..sorry.. nice Video... Enjoy Malaysia.... 👌👌👌👌

actually in all Asia country have their own fried rice but they all difference and have their own taste and uniqueness , such as in Malaysia they have many types of fried rice like nasi goreng kampung , when you go to Indonesia you will found their own fried rice too , meanwhile in Bangkok you will have their pattaya fried rice and in China you will have their Chinese fried rice...so,fried rice is a very common food in Asia ..and I don't think fried rice are born from Indonesia and have been officially be their international food because all the variety of fried rice are all created by the different asian people itself. anyway great vid dude! hope u enjoy visit there ! 🔥💕 #sorry4badgrammar

Lucky that we Malaysian are not as sensitive as the Indonesian who like to claim a lot of things theirs and make a lot of noise about it. We prefer to correct mistakes rather make issues out of this. Nasi goreng is Malay word for fried rice in English. What you ate was nasi goreng mamak style. When Malaysia promotes Malaysian food abroad normally it will be like nasi lemak, mee bandung, satay, laksa, lemang, lontong, rojak, soto, roti canai, roti jala. These food you can find them everywhere in Malaysia. We dont promote other countries food.

Ya, in fact fried rice was in China, Korea, Indonesia and many more country with different style. "Nasi Goreng" is just how fried rice translate into Malay language which sounds the same as Indonesia. in fact Indonesia style are different from our Malaysia Malay style fried rice. 😊 I love our Malay and Mamak style Nasi Goreng as well as Indonesia style i tried in Jakarta. They are all good and unique 😊 next time try Nasi Goreng Kampung 👍👍😊

u went to the right place for the Chinese Dinner 😍 I love the food there too. That black color noodle is call "Hokkian Mee", also mean "Hokkian style Noodle" Hokkian 福建 = a place in Chinese also where one of the major Malaysian Chinese origin from. others like GuangDong, Hakka, Hainan...etc. Each have slightly different living style, eating habit, business major and so on. It is very intetesting after u get to know more. Hainanese can made very good "Hainese Chicken Rice" and local Coffee called "Hainanese Kopi”, "Hainanese Chicken Chop" and so on. That is because Hainanese usually serve British as home maid during colony. Hokkian like "Dark Soya Sauce" so those food in black color are usually Hokkian Style. Like Bak Kut Teh (Pork Rid Soup) if black color is Hokkian style, if light color then should be Hakka Style. Johor, Penang, Klang, are mostly Hokkian. Ipoh, local KL Chinese are mostly Guang Dong. if you observe the Chinese in different area actually have slight different eating habit, personality and living style.

Stop calling Nasi Goreng "Indonesian Fried Rice", goddammit! Nasi Goreng is MALAY for "FRIED RICE". Malay is the national language of Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. Indonesia DOES NOT exclusively own Nasi Goreng, the dish is also part of national culture of Malaysia, Southern Thailand (where there are 2 million Malays), Singapore (once a part of Malaysia and 15% of its people are Malays), Brunei (70% Malays) and Southern Philippines. Stop associating Nasi Goreng exclusively with that country called Indonesia for heaven's sake! It's offensive to us Malaysians, Singaporeans, southern Thais, southern Filipinos and Bruneians!

Hokkien Noodles only available in KL and klang valley....origins from hokkiens from KL.. yellow noodles has alkalie flour and eggs. The incredient inside normally is Fish paste slices, Local Choysum and cabage. Sometimes it has Pork liver slices and some other pork innards maybe piggy's falopian tube. But it's all good and tasty. Main incredient secret recipe is that must fried with lots of Lard. Previously the best rated hokkien noodle was Kim Lian Kee at China Town(Petaling street) nearby Hong Leong bank.

1:35 That's wok hei or the breath of the wok 2:20 You should be drinking kopi Ipoh, or Malaysian style coffee. Go into a food court and order either a kopi susu or the larger kopi susu gelas. 7:12 Those prunes come in dozens of different varieties from sweet with a little salt to almost totally salt. There's also licorice powder in the mix.
