Been to Big Red, Cameron corner and Birdsville back in 2016. What they don't tell you is in between the sand dunes, should it rain, they can turn into mini Lakes.

I camped in the middle of nowhere, about 50 ks north of Marree. It's desolate country. Lucky we slept in a tent and not swags. There was a mouse plague, and they were climbing all over the tent at nighttime, there were thousands of them. We made about five or six mousetraps out of 2LT coke bottles and some cooking oil, by the morning they were full to the top with mice. I also did the clutch in on that trip in my 4x4, I had to use the starter motor to get the 4x4 moving, made it all the way back to Port Augusta. I also drove the Oodnadatta track in a VS Holden Commodore, we went through four spare tires. I left an old driver's license pinned to the roof of the Oodnadatta hotel, it's covered in drivers licensees, I wonder if they are still there? Good times...

Sauce has salt in it - it adds new flavour and promotes existing flavours at same time.

This guy should have been paid to promote Toyota….I would never trust any other make of vehicle out there. And that particular model especially…the Diesel 4.2litre Turbocharged straight six troop carrier is 100% certified…an absolute beast…it will take you anywhere AND bring you back!
