Today we’re going to talk about manopause. People also call this male menopause or andropause. If you’re a male and you’re getting older, you may experience symptoms of low testosterone or late-onset hypogonadism.
Symptoms of male menopause:
• Mood swings (irritability, low tolerance to stress, anxiety, depression)
• Decreased muscle mass
• Lack of energy
• Man boobs (gynecomastia)
• Loss of sleep
• ED (erectile dysfunction)
• Low libido
The liver is very important in keeping testosterone levels normalized. There is a protein that binds with hormones, especially testosterone. High amounts of this protein can cause your testosterone to be low. Insulin resistance, a fatty liver, and cirrhosis can cause high amounts of this protein.
Potential remedies for andropause (male menopause):
1. The healthy keto diet and intermittent fasting
2. Cruciferous vegetables
3. Zinc (100 mg per day in a blend of other trace minerals)
4. Korean red ginseng
5. Choline (fix your liver)
A few more things you could do:
• Try to keep your stress as low as possible (counter stress with exercise like long walks)
• Ger more sleep (do less intense exercise like long walks if you’re not sleeping)
• Don’t snack on sugar or carbs (insulin will nullify testosterone)
It’s important to note that these natural remedies for manopause may not help unless you also fix your diet. High insulin can block your progress.
Taking testosterone can cause the gland that produces testosterone to shrink even more, causing you to become dependent on it. Over time, it may lose its effectiveness.
Statins can actually lower testosterone. If you’re on a statin for high cholesterol, you may want to give keto and intermittent fasting a try.

Thank you so much for mentioning this. (a male friend) He was the first that I've known. To acknowledged the fact he had Manopause. He would have hot flashes and very similar symptoms as women having menopause. He would occasionally mentioned it to some of his male friends and they would Refuse to believe that something like this could ever happen to them. No such thing as manopause in men (denial) And from a lack of information.😐

I have always called it "Mental Pause." I went through a time, where I had migraine headaches, insomnia, man boobs and low libido. Once I found I had Type 2 diabetes and went on a low-carb diet, I have had little to no problem. I'm going to miss my man boobs though! ;)

My dad had vertigo until at the emergency Red Cross in mexico the doctor told him to rid himself of the prescriptions for vertigo, and drink more water. Problem solved, he had been dehydrated all this time until he had fallen by his bed and couldnt get up, he had to get I.V. rehydration at the Red Cross. No more vertigo problems after that. Hope that helps.

As someone who has had several diagnoses of vertigo (BPPV, and vestibular neuritis) and a difficult experience with it at the time, it's important to be correctly diagnosed in the first place. My experience was that many general practice doctors have minimal training in this area and therefore misdiagnose the problem in the first place. It's a complex area. There are many causes of vertigo which can be broadly categorised into: central (to do with the brain), and peripheral (to do with inner ear). Some balance disorders are easily treated if diagnosed correctly and some disorders are not so easily treated. Certainly nutrition plays a part, but correct diagnosis by a specialist in the first place is often key to having a good health outcome. If your mother happens to suffer from positional vertigo (dizziness is triggered by laying down, or changing head position) please see your doctor for a diagnosis and a referral to a vestibular rehabilitation specialist, or a vestibular physiotherapist. I had this disorder and the specialist helped me greatly - I was 95% cured of the symptoms.

Fasting has increased my libido. It doesn't seem to do the same for the wife, however. 😒🙄 Will the ginseng help her? 😂 I had a sleep study done a couple of years ago and ended up having to get a CPAP. I hate having to wear it, but it's probably saved my life. During the study, I stopped breathing for a significant amount of time, 32 times in an hour. I sleep so sound now and wake up refreshed. One of the best decisions I've ever made along with doing 22/2 OMAD and dropping a significant amount of weight.

Yes. It is. I've been on Mediterranean keto for about 2 years now. I've never felt better in my life (although I'm 28 so I should feel pretty damn good). Before my health journey, I was on the cocaine, alcohol, and jack in the box so coming full swing later I don't even drink now because I feel so damn good haha. Anyways, feel free to lean on me through PM if you have any questions. I obtained my Precision Nutrition certification for my own knowledge and always like to work (free) with people because it's the BEST way to improve my OWN knowledge.

Calcium (real full fat cheese, sugar free almond milk, leafy greens) Potassium (leafy greens, avocado, wheatgrass juice powder, pickle juice) Magnesium (same as potass and non-hot epsom salt bath. Hot baths lower blood pressure more) Sodium and chloride (salt 4-5 teaspoons daily) Phosphorus (veggies) Get some sun exposure to produce vitamin D and nitric oxide

Korean Panax Ginseng is a great one for libido and I use it when I'm not feeling up to par with my girlfriend. A simple pill, take as directed. Depends on what reason you're using the Ginseng for, because there are A LOT of diff ginsengs and they all do amazing stuff.

@@meagiesmuse2334 Well let's hope Paul doesn't. Interestingly enough I've been googling your claim and while true there is some controversy to it. For example, "Previous studies on Panax ginseng have confirmed its effect on regulating blood pressure [15]. Interestingly, Panax ginseng at low-doses can elevate blood pressure, while high-dose Panax ginseng has hypotensive effect in healthy subjects [17-19]" -- The human body so fascinating.

@@dantemingione779 - I based what I said on just my experiences, so the sample is low. When studying to be an ND, I was taught that the ginsengs are all more or less adaptogens, ie. they can lower or raise blood pressure as needed. IME though, they always raise it, and indeed, the Balch and Balch Naturopathic "Bible" does cite this rise in BP at least a dozen times. I'm not saying people shouldn't try it, just that they should monitor blood pressure while doing it. I've seen dangerous rises in BP occurring after about 10 days, even with Siberian ginseng, which is commonly thought to not produce a rise in BP. I agree, the human body is truly fascinating and we're all different!

Simple to find Foods that have ALL of the nutrients you need in ONE food item is the BEST. For instance, shellfish has ALL of the trace minerals, Eggs have ALL of the Vitamins (mins vitamin C), your wheatgrass supplement has ALL of the vitamins, Nutritional Yeast has ALL of the B vitamins, your trace minerals provides ALL of the trace minerals plus anything else needed to make the product fully available and therefore useful. Make a video telling us where we can get ALL of the recommended supplements within a food! Continue to have that mind set when you create products. Provide more supplements like this too! That makes this all simple. Which it truly is. It's brilliant yet simple! Nature and genius, yet always simple, and makes perfect sense.
