It’s great to have discussions like this. Just because a guy and a girl are close doesn’t necessarily mean they should date one another. They can always remain friends. Once you’ve overstepped boundaries, there’s no turning back from it.

They put you in friend zone roster. They want the boyfriend benefits you provide without actually making you “the boyfriend”

Alot of people would like to believe there's this huge differentiation between men and women in terms of how they form the closest social circles. But in reality, both sexes might not be that different. To form the closest social circles, any human will still choose people they can trust and vibe with and they usually share certain set of experience, beliefs and values. In terms of interaction, I think it's just a normal stereotype to think that men have simpler conversation than ladies or men tend to provide advices and solutions when uninquired. Well, again, it depends on the context of the conversation (where, who's around, how much time is allowed), the topics or issue that is discussed, and the mental state of the speakers and listeners. When the time is right, and when one is ready to talk, men in closest social circles can be unexpectedly empathetic and attuned too. Perhaps low maintenance is really the best way to describe Bros friendship.

I learned this in psychology. In social circles, there's the in-circle, then there's the inner-circle, and for even deeper ones, the inner-inner circle. So being in the in-circle is easy, but beyond that is tough.

What. I'm so perplexed that Sonia has never seen the "nod". It happens every single day multiple times a day.

A very disappointing and meaningless episode. The guy kept asking for examples, leading up to answering a question but cut himself off by giving out disclaimers, not finishing his sentences and kept asking Sonia back the questions she asked him.. 😒

one of the more disappointing episodes. felt like all the points came off from a pinterest summary or a thought catalogue listicle without digging deeper into the nuances on this complex topic

The concept of ‘bro’s code’ is just a social norm people use to justify behaviours. The major difference between a bro or sis code is perhaps that many (asian) men tend to be less expressive.

we do have that. and now cos of covid its forearm bump Its a thing but men don't like to show their vulnerable side. that turns it into material for comedians but its not that hard... but I do htht is with only a select few females and every one would be what are they on about... Teaching girl how to game and not crossing the line of mansplaning is another topic on its own. i can wing man cos i am the DuFF voice notes hahahaha still doing it ? yeah i stop pointing points and i enjoy bitching with her haha no I don't really care not just ignorant is bliss like Agent K says, Don't ask questions you don't want to know the answer to. haha I had a chat with a co worker on age gap that lasted 3 weeks... every one was thinking we were on the trial period. yea getting drunk for me is more like doing stupid shit now with social media hahaha unlike last time only post on friendster.... ops

Gals these days are just attention whores tbh. Recently experienced something similar to Shawn. This gal led me on, made me feel special, made me feel like i was the only one, only to find out she was seeing not 1 but 3 other guys!
