Horror's Hallowed Grounds: Episode 16 - The Return of the Living Dead (1985). In Episode 16 of Horror's Hallowed Grounds we visit the filming locations of Return of the Living Dead. There are not very many locations used in this film and many were sets and no longer exist. So it's a short episode but still pretty fun.I personally think this is one of the weaker episodes. Well it’s kinda funny that you asked if there were any punks in Kentucky. Newport Kentucky had a famous venue called The Jockey Club with a thriving punk scene.

I love that the medical supply building is still there, this movie had such a massive impact on me growing up in the 80s. Great video guys.

My family moved to Sylmar in 86, one block away from the cemetery scene. As a kid, I used to walk through those Olive Groves and never had any idea that it was used for ROTLD. Great video, enjoyed it!

If memory serves me correctly, summer 85; ROTLD, Godzilla 1985, Fright Night. Went from 1 screen to the next as a 13 yr old at AMC. Memorable summer ROTLD, Fright Night, 2 of my favs....

My favorite zombie movie, wish you could do something on the American Werewolf in London, that is one of the only movies that scared me as a kid. That opening scene is iconic. Please don’t stop making these videos.

On the DVD director commentary, they mention they got use of that house, but it was 90° inside that summer. This movie was right at the peak of my life.
