Malgudi Days is an Indian television series based on the works of R.K. Narayan. The series was directed by Kannada actor and director Shankar Nag. Carnatic musician L. Vaidyanathan composed the score. R. K Narayan's brother and acclaimed cartoonist R. K. Laxman was the sketch artist. The series was made in 1986 by film producer T. S. Narasimhan with Anant Nag as the lead actor.

The melody of the flute has a magic .It is like the soft singing of the birds. It transforms me as if a I am sitting on a boat ,sailing across a river and viewing the bright sun rises and beauties of nature

due to dowry, people fear of having a daughter....and the groom's father think , the boy is his lifetime investment n tries to snatch every thing from bride's parents.... making them bankrupt

Finally a good ending but no wonder it's not Shankar Nag, who's produced this but Kavita Lankesh. Dowry is a shit practise. Shame it's still going on in some parts of our country.
