Wanted to listen to some Malice mizer again and damn, I had almost forgot about how incredibly good this single really was. Also intresting, that most of the comments here are from this year, pretty rare for a video of Japanese rock/Visual kei from the late 90s or early 2000s that was uploaded several years ago. Well seems like the youtube algorithm brought us toghether or something. Can’t complain tbh.

Me too! Man... in high school way back before I graduated in 2005, I remember I was into anime but not as much till I met my friend and she started a spark that really got me into not just anime but also Japanese music like malice mizer, dir de gray, Gackt and other popular singers at the time. This song Beast of blood was the first song she introduced me to. Glad I found it again. 😊☺️😁🙃

Gackt wasn’t doing the vocals here, it was Klaha. During this era, they also made a movie called Bara no Konrei ~Mayonaka ni Kawashita Yakusoku~, which if you translate it from Japanese to English, it says Wedding Rose ~The Promise Exchanged at Midnight~. it depends which era u prefer but I'll write my fav by far: Mayonaka no kawashita yakusoku, Illuminati, I know the reason for her sadness, kyomu no Naka De Yuugi, Le Ciel, Gardenia, Garnet and tbh I would suggest to listen to some albums by them u can easily find them on KZfaq :)

Id honestly just recommend checking out all their albums. Lots of hidden gems, and even the songs I don't like quite as much have some interesting elements worth checking out. Their first album memoire, featuring Tetsu on vocals, is more guitar focused than later albums. The following two Gackt era albums, Voyage and Merveilles are pop-oriented and have a lighter tone overall. Their final album and last few maxi-singles, including this song, were part of the Klaha era, and have a darker tone overall, likely in mourning for the death of Kami, the original drummer. Id honestly recommend going from the start, and hearing their evolution as artists and the changes in their sound.
