The Kings defeated the Magic, 138-135, in double overtime. Malik Monk led the Kings with a season-high 37 points and 7 3PT FG, along with 9 assists as Keegan Murray (28 points, 12 rebounds) and Domantas Sabonis (22 points, 23 rebounds, 12 assists) totaled 50 points. Paolo Banchero totaled a career-high 43 points (6 3PT), 4 rebounds, and 5 assists as Jalen Suggs added 24 points (career-high 6 3PT), 3 rebounds, and 4 assists. The Kings improve to 20-13 as the Magic move to 19-15.
The Magic made a franchise record 25 3PT FG (25-44) tonight.
This was Sabonis’ 39th triple-double of his career and his seventh of the season.
Sabonis joins Nikola Jokic as the only players to record a 20-points, 20-rebound, 10-assist game this season.
Sabonis became the sixth player this season to record back-to-back 20-point, 15-rebound games, joining Nikola Jokic, Bam Adebayo, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Vucevic, and Anthony Davis).

Malik Monk is one of the most underappreciated talents in the league. Could be a starter on any team and yet stays humble and is a perfectionist in his role.

Indiana Pacer fan here. Im extremely happy that we have Haliburton, but hated to see Sabonis leave. You could tell he was going to be really good. Now this dude has taken it to another level

Haha kings fan here I feel the exact same way about tyreese. One of the best win win trades of all time. Some fans still regret the trade bc of how good haliburton is but if it never happened haliburton wouldn’t have been able to develop nearly as quickly since we have some much depth at guard

I think Banchero had almost that by himself. Probably the next super 🌟 in the making. It was a great game even though the magic only had Banchero and bench warmers playing most of the game.

It depends on mood of people picking. Monk and Murray scored 65, but they decided to put Sabonis instead because he had triple double.

Look at this NBA bias! Kyrie and Luka combined for 70 in 3 quarters, no one talks about them yet it takes Sabonis and Monk two ots and they couldn’t even match the production of Luka and Kyrie!
