'Rise up' is the name of a political party in my country of birth, Portugal that I see as worth supporting. It's spelled 'Ergue-te' there. The average deposit for a homebuyer is €52,000 The average salary is €3,200 per month. What that means is that the average age of first time buyers is now 35.6 years old. Nevermind the recent arrivals. Mallow (along with Midleton) already had one of largest black populations for a town of it's size anywhere in the country in the 2016 census. We're waking up to a process that is already nearly 30 years in the making and we're running out of time to deal with it. I appreciate the work you do Derek, but let's not kid ourselves that this is merely an issue of unvetted men, illegal immigration and bogus asylum seekers. Much (if not most) of our ethnic displacement has happened legally and through the proper channels. I appreciate the fact that the Ireland First party are one of perhaps only two who actually explicitly mention demographics, but I fear that there is a danger that we'll get sidetracked by just focusing on the recent immigration while missing the larger issue that spans all the way back to the mid 1990s.
