Time for another no bake slice recipe!
You'll need:
FOR THE SLICE
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
100 grams of unsalted butter
125 grams/half a cup of dessicated coconut (you have the option to toast it)
a can of condensed milk
250 gram pack of plain sweet biscuits/cookies
1 cup of chocolate melts
1 cup of Maltesers
FOR THE TOPPING
375 grams of dark chocolate melts
1 tablespoon of a neutral oil
optional Maltesers to decorate
METHOD
In a blender or by hand (bag and rolling pin is my preferred method) break up the Maltesers and sweet biscuits. There can be big chunks and it doesn't need to be all uniform.
Put the biscuit and Malteser mix into a bowl and add the cocoa powder and coconut, mixing until well combined.
In a pot over medium heat, melt the butter, chocolate and condensed milk together until well combined. Allow to cool for a couple of minutes before mixing with the dry ingredients until well combined.
Into a lined try, pour the slice mixture into an even layer and place into the fridge for a minimum of three hours, but waiting overnight is best.
Once the slice is set, remove from the fridge for 20 minutes prior to adding the chocolate topping.
Melt 375 grams of dark chocolate until it is nice and smooth. Mix in the tablespoon of neutral oil until shiny.
Pour the topping mixture on top the slice and smooth evenly with a knife or offset spatula. Optionally, you can now add Maltesers on top.
Place back into the fridge for minimum of 3 hours before cutting
ENJOY :)
