This is my favorite song by them with a great message. Great southern rock band from the 60's-80's. It is very sad what happened to this band in losing so many members in a plane crash in 1977. They had lots of great songs such as "Sweet Home Alabama", "Call Me The Breeze", "Tuesday's Gone", "That Smell", "The Ballad Of Curtis Loew", "What's Your Name", "Gimme Three Steps", "Saturday Night Special" etc.

Absolutely by far, the best southern rock band that ever existed, THE ORIGINAL LYNYRD SKYNYRD FROM THE '70S. JOHNNY Van Zant does a great job but listen to the ""REAL/ ORIGINAL" Lynyrd Skynyrd back in the '70s . Johnny is the youngest and Donnie Van Zant is the lead singer for 38 special . Crazy, talented family . NOTHING LIKE THE SKYNYRD FROM THE '70S OH MY GOODNESS! SIMPLE MAN , Ronnie had just lost his grandmother and Gary Rossington had just lost his mom, when the song was written, From what I have read I cannot listen to " SIMPLE MAN "" or ""Tuesday's Gone"" without crying. " THE NEEDLE AND THE SPOON" I cry because our youngest son, 21-years old , has issues and is on the streets, Yes I I think you get what I'm saying .😢 Those three songs. I just love & tears roll down my cheeks every time (which is about three times a week we'll put on the original Skynyrd ) listen to them Y'all do such a great job.
