There are way too many talented youth who qualified for but were/are unable to attend international events due to financial constraints. For years their families have had to raise monies through fundraisers and sadly many have missed out on a golden opportunity due to the lack of funding. I think Mama Joy would've been better off agreeing with Minister McKenzie in terms of funding being redirected to empower and support the development of new talent. Taking such a stance could've invited sponsors to ensure that she would be able to continue to enjoy some privileges as a super fan. Very selfish if you ask me.
