MAMA awards might be one of the biggest awards in korea but they are rigged. They miscount votes, ban users even if they're legitimate. G-Dragon dissed MAMA in his performance in 2014’s event. (lol). EXO was disrespected so much that members cried when they got the award because they weren't expecting anything. Only SM’s votes were mis counted, causing a lot of bands to lose awards. It is also known to disrespect artists. Jackson from Got7 became, Jacson. Day6 became Day8 and even monsta x was mis spelt. In 2017, even bts suffered due to their ruling votes as invalid. Also, Blackpink’s faces were covered with red when projected on the led screen. (which didn't happen with any other artist). It's considered that it was cowardly way of MAMA retaliating YG for boycotting the event. Oh, and the policy of ‘you get the prize if you attend’ became clear in 2017 when wanna one won the award for best male group even when they were a rookie group. ( Not saying they didn't deserve it.
