This MAP focuses on the complexity and love a mother and daughter relationship has. Hollyleaf has recently passed away, and to cope with the loss, Leafpool goes to the Moonpool. There, she finds resolution and gives the maternal love that Hollyleaf needs now.
The original media the song is from covers heavy and mature topics. This MAP's intention isn't to riff off of the original media's theme, but instead use the song for a new narrative and context.
We began production in early January of 2022 and all the participants did a brilliant job translating the script into these beautiful & emotional visuals. It was a delight to work with all of you and I’m blown away that everyone was so committed. Everyone was supportive - you can see the love and care put into the final project. Thank you to the participants and artists for partaking in this project, I hope you’ll all have a lovely Valentine's Day.
