This is why you've heard of Kelly Minkin and not Mamacita, luck is what separates players after a certain level. A good player can beat a lucky player at low stakes but when you start moving up , you run into good players that are also lucky. Ivey, Brunson, Dwan etc are luckier than the average person, they are also very good but it's easy to be good at poker, it's hard to be lucky. Im saying you can learn almost everything about how to play poker in a few years but if you're unlucky you better stay at lower stakes where skill can make up the difference.
