That was the first of several times Kim Dohoon has told the girls to make a song out of something they said or did spontaneously. Yeah, agree with your final comments. Opinions differ, of course, bit i don't think hwasa was in any real danger of being cut since kdh specifically said the friendship between wheein and hwasa was what he wanted to build the group around. That said, he *was* upset at her for her stubbornness, even though he also cultivated that in all the girls. I do love that her 'apology' she wrote was quite unapologetic, even as she cried while writing it, and how the ceo not only accepted it but also helped her turn it into a song for their first album... just craziness all around Also, i just love the way she still gets teary-eyed while talking about their first win. It was so long ago, and they've jad so many wins since then, but you can tell it still means a lot to all four of these girls. And the fact that they still get surprised and excited every time they win something... ...and speaking of teary-eyed, she follows that up with "be calm" and you can see she's still hurting over her uncle's death... i just hope she knows how many people use that song to help them with their own grief or just to get over everyday hurdles... And what you were saying at the end... honestly, there aren't terribly many people without some kind of theatrical background that can pull off this type of storytelling, esp with the musical bits scattered throughout. And how she managed to show all that vulnerability so many times, since everything she brought up was so emotional, so important to her in some way... and the way she managed to keep control while showing that vulnerability... Even if nothing else previous had shown it, this performance alone shows she was born to be on stage. And she absolutely needs to be in a musical at some point... (i feel that for all four of them but especially wheein and hwasa)
