From what I see mamamoo and doni and coni are kinda compatible because their savage/'rude' burns are on the same level and mamamoo knows how to answer back

Honestly, I think the whole cancel DoniConi movement just made them seem more toxic and horrible than they actually are. Like it's only been in the past year or two when suddenly international fans started calling them terrible and then going back to old clips and hyperanalyzing every little thing that happened on weekly idol and twisting every situation and every facial expression to paint this image that they are horrible people. BUT clearly they made the show very good, it was entertaining to watch and the idols did get along good with them. The whole harsh loud attitudes the 2 guys had and the slapstick comedic antics was part of the set up of the show. The two of them don't always act like that on other show, like when Doni was on a show called "Night Goblin" he was much calmer and more serious. Anyways, I remember when they were first announced to be leaving the Weekly Idol, there was huge backlash on it, and people HATED the new hosts, they hyperanaylzed everything they did, called them out on the littlest things, and would take every facial expression an idol made and turned it against the new hosts. Now people are doing the exact same thing to Doni and Coni. Were there moments when they went overboard, sure, but you also have to see it that comedy in Korea and on a Korean variety show is different than on a show in a different country. So for international fans, something like slapstick comedy just may not read that way. Clearly they weren't that bad at hosting the show since it was very popular when they were running it, the same guests came back often and they remained the host of the show for 6 (?) years and I believe only left because the production staff was being cut and they went with them. Anyways, I think the whole canceling DoniConi is completly overboard and the hate they're getting is ridiculous. They're still respected figures in the Korean Entertainment industry, a lot of idols are close with them and at the end of the day, they're just two guys doing their job of making a show entertaining for the viewers. You can believe what you want and look in to it yourself from watching episodes like these. But don't force yourself to take a side just because you're told they are or aren't toxic. Sorry for the long rant, I'm just tired of the whole cancel culture and just miss the old weekly idol.
