This is a dissing song for all stupid and hateful comments Mamamoo keep on getting for their outfits, they're telling all those people hating on them keep on clicking and zooming like an obsessed but everything about us is hip. Hip means cooler than cool, the pinnacle of what is "it", beyond all trends and conventional coolness. Mamamoo are telling us whatever you are and whatever job you have, you deserve to be blessed and acknowledged for what you do not for what you wear. They comeback with a FULL album, 11 beautiful songs with wide wide wide music genres. Hwasa co-wrote and co-composed the title track 'Hip'. About the Universe concept everything starts with Destiny, the song they performed at Queendom. There are 4 universes in the 1st one Moonbyul, Solar, Wheein and Hwasa are the members of Mamamoo but in the other 3 they live different lifes and do different jobs (you can see a rockstar, choreographer, environmentalist, president and so on) but in each Universe the meet with each other in some way because it's their destiny. The album was 1st on iTunes chart WORLDWIDE and Hip is first on Billboard world digital song sales

To be honest this might be one of the best reactions no one is biased towards one person in the group they get equal attention, you actually pay attention to the music video, and I love how there is a TV in the background so you don't have to edit the music video in, awesome video guys!

That was the big thing for me when I first got into kpop was that nearly every single song took a couple of listens to get into. It's from being conditioned with western music to think "Musician X sounds like Y". You go in expecting to hear something, it's 100% *not* that and it takes a while to realise it still slams.

I always enjoy Mamamoo. They are my top female group in Kpop. I've enjoyed the music from their debut to now. Ahh Oop, Piano Man, Egotistic, Starry Night, You're the best, Paint Me are some of my favorites but I am true fan of all their group work and solo work. I've never been disappointed in them.

Who TF is stressing these women about bras?! If I don't get to protest hairy-backed men walking around topless then everyone can shut their feed-holes about women not wearing bras. Sorry, hearing that just ticked me off so freaking bad. UGH! Anyway, love this song and M/V, the whole thing suits MAMAMOO really well. It's mature and sexy without being overt and crass.

They managed to make Hip a dance track and a message song at the same time, while also spitting in the face of the fashion nazis and the idiots who criticize them for the unpardonable sin of being themselves. The 12 different lives shown in the alternate universe scenes were from the album preview teasers. Each of the 12 is an unusual woman in one way or another but each of them is HIP in her own way. MMM has been like this since the beginning. Hwasa wrote a song on their first album called I Do Me and that's basically their motto as people and artists. 👍
