That dazed "i'm ready" in response to Moonbyul's "Ladies, are you readyyy?" hahahaha this was one of my fave reaction videos to Mamamoo out of all those I've watched! I think the best thing about MMM is that you don't need to know a single song of theirs to enjoy their concerts, they're just _that good_ at performing.

One thing that stands them apart from lots of the other groups aside from singing and dancing is the ability to hype the crowd. Most can sing and dance really well but getting the crowd to fully invest is probably more difficult than it seems. I commented on another video about how your life will be consumed of Mamamoo content. You have all of their music videos, then you can watch all of the immortal songs performances and then all of the mmmtv (vlogs), live performances of weekly and year end award shows like their Mama 2018, 2019 and 2020 performances (careful mnet tends to block depending on your country)

Trust me, I've been in their concert a couple times and it was worth it. From beginning to end was so wonderful.

If I started blabbing about MMM's many contradictory, impossible to conceive, stranger than fiction dualities as world class artists vs relatable dorks I'd bore the hell out of both of us. They're simply one of the best girl groups of all time, in any language, country, genre or era. If I was being polite I'd say "imho" but I really think it's just the facts, m'am, even if it isn't a truth that's as well known or acknowledged as it should be. As you're going through their discography you might want to start adding in their appearances on Immortal Songs 2 every once in a while. Vocally they're all on the level of the medley, only better because they're focused on expressing the emotions and story of one song at a time and they're doing it while competing with some of the best singers in S Korea. When you see them on Immortal Songs you're probably going to want to binge watch all 14 performances. Have fun!

I definitely know what you mean. From the first moment I laid eyes on Mamamoo, I really felt that they don't look like the typical female K-pop stars. I don't exactly know what it is, but they just look very womanly and mature and like US, ya know? (Not bashing on other girl groups at all, I am a fan of several but this is just my opinion) I think that's what attracted me to MMM aside from their amazing vocals.

I love Mamamoo because even though they are incredibly talented they are very relatable and, like you said, accessible. The crazy thing is that they joined this competition very early into their career (which is a crazy risk for a newbie group at that time). They gone against super experienced singers wayyy older than them and yet THEY won! That was how insanely iconic the Immortal Medley program was to them! I don't think to date, any other girl kpop group has ever won immortal songs competition! Side note: Some of these girls like Hwasa & Wheein were only 20-21 years old during the immortal songs period! So the amount of emotions their young souls carried in their vocals really blew everyone away!
