Did you notice that this is less than a month after their debut? Raw vocals with zero processing as far as I can tell. Their teamwork and chemistry is already there and as good as their vocals were they got so much better as time went on. Being an old fart this is the kind of girl group and musical style I grew up on in the 60's. Few current girl groups could pull this vocal arrangement off with the soul MMM brings to it. Btw, Hwasa is dropping a new song tomorrow that was recorded by her favorite producer Park Woosang. I'm expecting something low key since there hasn't been much pre-release promotion but I'm sure she'll kill it as usual.

Love my main rapper Hwasa! I wish we got more of her rapping, but honestly, I’ll be happy with literally anything Mamamoo puts out. Cause they always kill it. I generally am the kind of person who can enjoy almost any genre, but I have a set type of songs that I like to listen to on a daily basis. Like I can enjoy jazz if it’s playing in a restaurant, but it’s not something I actively seek out on my own time. But with Mamamoo, it literally doesn’t matter what genre they put out. Cause it will always be fire. If they put out a death metal record tomorrow it would somehow be incredible. 😂 and the fact that they’re just as good live, if not even better, it’s just insane. The only other artists I could say that about are like Celine, Whitney, and Christina. There are so few people that can fit into that talent category. And somehow RBW found 4 of them and made a dream team. It doesn’t matter how many times I listen to them, they will never stop blowing my mind.

I can't be the only one that is getting 60's Motown vibes of this, surely? Live singing, the sound, the harmonies... eff all the intricate dance moves of 4th gen and mediocre (at best) singers, give me this everyday and twice on sunday any time.

Wow, I have never seen that video. I have seen other videos in that same studio, same yellow outfits in that they sing mr ambiguous and others, I never saw this one from that show. Incredible and to think that was when they were around 22 years old and still fresh and they could do That with their voices, really the world is just that much better because Mamamoo is in it. If you are doing live stuff, I suggest the Pikachu song, it is the most vocally talented pokemon song ever and they are dressed as pokemon. Another is the live version of Um ah oh yeh, Acapella with a dude from vromance providing a beatbox. It isnt the entire song about 2 minutes but it shows off their talent like this video. There is an MV of this but there are 2 live videos I have seen. and new stuff, thier My Con concert tour happening now, some videos have come out of each member doing one of the other members Solos, then Mamamoo as a group they do 4 of the solo songs and choreo.

I don't know what year this is, have they debuted yet? But this jamming was showing their talents were serious. Even early at their carreer, they stood out with crazy singing/rapping technique. No wonder they're Rookie Of The Year just 7 month after their debut.

She and Moonbyul were the two designated rappers when they debuted, with two contrasting styles. They did a subunit collab called “DAB DAB” on the album “Memory” which is definitely worth checking out. The two of them together are called the “Rapper line” of Mamamoo. Wheein and Solar also rap, but mainly for fun. At some point they started calling themselves MC Dukk and MC Dakk when they rap together. It’s always when they are being silly behind the scenes.
