Hearing Yongsun's struggle particularly now in her life is heartbreaking. It's something many people can relate to sadly where life just keeps going and you have to keep up emotionally and physically. The stress it causes alongside her roles as a leader, KZfaqr and I'm sure many other things she manages, she is such a fighter. I think this was the most heartwarming interview. I don't know if its just the time we are living in now or if its just what i needed to hear. I feel like what they said resonated with me, WAWN is a comeback of retrospect. Every MooMoo can take each song on the album and relate to it in some way. Thats true artistry! Thank you Mamamoo for your youth, thank you Solar for your leadership, thank you Moonbyul for your vision, thank you Wheein for your artistry, and thank you Hwasa for your growth. This interview is beautiful. I love how they are honest talking about their hard times. It's not like they try to draw everything nice and perfect. They've always been very down to earth even if they (personally or as a group) made mistakes, they've known how to carry on. It seems like they learned how to embrace their weakness and strength as a whole. I'll been always thankful for have found an incredible group like this. I have madly respect for them.

There are a lot of sad words in the english language but I think one of the saddest phrase is "I've gotten used to it". In Solar's case, getting used to her busy schedule, getting used to receiving malicious comments, getting used to not getting enough rest and so on. Just because you've gotten used to it doesn't mean it gets easier. It's just so heart breaking to hear her say that.

I didn't expect their words to resonate with me. As someone who has a hard time expressing herself, I couldn't help but tear up when they mentioned how hard it is to open up especially around close friends and family.

Solar is really one of the strongest and best leaders I've seen The way she carries herself to the audience Just everything about her is so inspiring and empowering Really best leader SOLAR!!!!!

This company needs to step up their game. Mamamoo has the highest potential to step on bigger stage.

Parts of this interview were so brutally honest and real. Human relationsships are messy and I really appreciate that they don't gloss over that. You don't get that very often, not in real live and especially not in the Kpop industry. Maybe I'm interpreting it wrong, but it feels like Mamamoo might slowly be coming to an end (at least in the way the group worked in the last 7 years). If that is the case, it's sad but I think it is also really impressive how respectfull and honest it is done and how much the 4 women are in charge in the desicion on how to move forward. So many Kpop groups just disband out of nowhere because of some scandal or dispute between company and artist. Or they just fade away without any closure. I am certain that this fate will not happen to the Mamamoo members, no matter if they continue as Mamamoo or as individuals or both, they are here for the long term and thats really awesome :)

2015년에 우울증이 와서 힘들었는데 마마무 차안에서 노는 입덕영상 보고 빠지기 시작해서, 마마무 티비 보고 웃고,음악 들으며 힐링하고, 공연 보면서 신나게 즐기면서 우울증에서 벗어났어요. 마마무는 저에게는 영양제 같고 비타민 같은 존재입니다. 그동안 제 삶이 힘이 되어주었던 것만큼 마마무의 앞날에도 힘이 되는 무무가 되고 싶어요... 사... 사... 놓지 않을게요.

생각보다 더 솔직하게 담담하게 인터뷰 해준 것 같아 마음이 찡하네요.. 마마무로서의 7년을 되돌아 본다는게 이미 팬들에겐 너무나 값진 7년이었기에 마마무에게 고마운 마음이 많이 들어요. 즐겁고 행복한 순간도 많았지만 그것을 위해서 얼마나 힘들고, 얼마나 인내해왔을까싶어요. 너무 고생이 많았고, 이제는 정말 부담없이, 마마무답게, 마마무다운 음악 해나가며 길을 걸어갔으면해요. 늘 옆에 있을께요. 솔라 문별 휘인 화사 네명 모두 사랑해요 진심으로!

3주전인가 킬링보이스 보는데 다 한번씩 들어봤던 곡 같은데 I miss you 파트와 딩가딩가파트가 자꾸 맴돌고 확 끌리더군요 그러면서 최근 2주간 매일 킬링보이스 보면서 늦게나마 마마무의 무한매력에 빠져버렸습니다. 마침 신곡 Where are we now 가 나왔고 처음 듣는 순간부터 전율이 오더라구요. 그냥 들었어도 좋았을 노래인데 마마무에 대해 본격 관심 갖기 시작할때쯤 딱 만나는 신곡이라 더욱 좋더라구요. 저도 이제 마마무 팬입니다!

Beside cheering for MAMAMOO’s 7th yr, their words make me reflect on my relationship with family. “We’re close but we don’t know each other well because many times we just assume.”

I love that they all said that they regret not properly sharing their feelings together and expressing themselves. They all feel the same way in that regard and yet they still can't actually say it to each other lol. Things like that always make me think of those unspoken moments between them, like when Twit got first place and Solar and Hwasa just hugged eachother and cried without saying anything.

마마무를 보면서 많은 것들을 배웠습니다. 언제나 먼 발치에서 지켜보고 있으면 '정말 멋진 사람들이구나' 하는 생각이 들었습니다. 물론 사람은 사람이기에 같은 고민을 하고 같은 시간을 살아가고 있지만 그 시간들이 의미있었던 것은 돌이켜보면 '함께'여서 그랬던 것 같습니다. 이제는 가수와 팬이 아니라 정말 사람 대 사람으로 공감하고, 응원하고, 사랑하려고 합니다. 마마무를 가수라고만 부르기에는 너무나 좋은 사람들이고 나를 팬이라고 부르기에는 너무나 부족한 사람이기 때문입니다.

imoos are buying albums, watching and streaming content, promoting the girls yet we still don’t get the basic acknowledgment to have subtitles. mamamoo has so much potential to gain a bigger international audience, you are limiting them by not doing the bare minimum to cater to the global market. mamamoo deserves better, international fans deserve better.

Thank you for the English Subtitles. First of all, I was bawling throughout. What makes Mamamoo so special is they are relatable AF. But seeing Solar, made my heart sad. She is the reason I'm alive today, I'm not even kidding. Her voice and her music have become a safe space for me and I use it everyday to go to bed and wake up. For the first time ever I am actually physically healthy, Solar inspired me to keep going. I have leaned on Mamamoo especially Solar so much in this hard time, and she always brought a smile to my face. If I could stand by her, I would honestly try and take all of her worries away, but we all live individual lives and we can't take each others pain, but we can be there for people. I will we always there for Kim Yong-sun no matter what. Even if she doesn't work another single day of her life. I think all moomoos love Mamamoo so much that they would want the girls to be happy and healthy first. Even if we just keep watching the content the have given us for 7 whole years on repeat. I think that prior this interview, Whee In told the members of her decision to part ways with RBW and you can tell by the responses everyone had. Solar was not in a good place mentally. Moonbyul talking about the bright side of endings. Whee In talking about finding her direction. Hwasa telling the story of writing or trying to write a letter to her kindred spirit.

RBW's incompetence is never not shocking. It's like we're talking to a brick wall, year after year.

It's interesting to revisit this interview a few months later, in the context of seeing Red Velvets approach to their own 7 year anniversary, the upbeat tone of Queendom and the fun vibe of it all. Mamamoo went for a more reflective, melancholic, sentimental approach, not only in Where Are We Now, but even in promotional things like the live band performances and in this very raw, un-idol like interview with all it's openness and self reflecting. I'm new to KPop, but I haven't heard many idols speak this candidly about their current career the way these four are in this interview. I wonder if any other group really could...

I like how Solar really thinks about the rest of the members. How they will do at this age. I really hope she takes care of herself so that her smile that helps light up Moomoos days will continue to shine bright. 🥺

After all this years being moomoo, the only support I can give to them is stream all their music to all free platforms, I just can't afford to buy even one album from them.. Showing vulnerability is often seen as a sign of weakness, so one tends to hide the feelings out of pride or not wanting to burden others with your own worries... But I think that Mamamoo showed immense inner strength by talking out loud about their own insecurities and how their dynamics between them hasn't always been perfect but they still care for each other and it's something we can all relate in many ways. My wish for them is that in this new phase of their lives they make time to listen to each other a bit more and also: Try not to assume things. Ask away. Honor each other's words. Keep doing what they do as best as possible. Try not to take things too personal.

정말 많은 것을 느낄 수 있는 영상이었다. 팬과 가수는 정말 서로에게 형용할 수 없는 존재같다. 행복과 슬픔을 함께 공유하는 존재, 떨어져 있지만 누구보다 유대감이 깊은 존재같다. 무무가 되어서 그들이 느끼는 슬픔보다는 훨씬 작겠지만 그들의 슬픔을 같이 느끼고, 분노를 느끼고, 정말 큰 행복도 느낀다. 처음에는 그들의 존재로써 행복을 느끼기 위해 발을 딛었지만 '나'를 위한 행복보다 그들을 위한 행복을 더 바라게 되었다. 공인으로써 일반인과는 또 다른 차원의 아픔들이 많았을텐데, 우리가 전부 알기는 힘들지만 상처가 있기에 이렇게 반짝일 수 있는것 같아요. 지금 이 반짝임이 있기까지 정말 많은 상처를 입었겠죠. 용선언니가 "지금 제 상태는 썩 좋지 않다" 고 말 했을 때 심장이 철렁했네요. 늘 밝은 모습만 보였기에 그 안에 있는 아픔들은 잘 알아채지 못 했어요. 미안하고 고마워요. 쉼 없이 달리는 동안 성과는 컸을 수 있지만 육체적으로, 정신적으로 많이 힘들었을 것 같아서 저도 아프네요. 앞으로도 힘든 일이 없을 순 없지만 상처는 작고 행복은 클 수 있었으면 좋겠어요. 글솜씨가 좋지 못 해 정신없는 글일 수 있겠지만 진심은 보이길 바라요. 이 글을 읽을지, 안 읽을지도 모르지만 만약에 언니들이 이 글을 읽을 수 있게 된다면 조금이라도 위로가 될 수 있었길 바라요. 쉼 없이 달리느라 고생 많았어요! 언니들의 모든 모습을, 조건없이 사랑해요. 가수가 아닌 인간으로써의 언니들도 정말 소중하고 멋있어요. 공인이기 이전에, 한사람 한사람 다 아름답고 가치있고 의미있는 존재들이라는 걸 잊지 않았으면 좋겠어요. 존재해줘서 고마워요!
