holy crap boy is it a learning curve. It's like that curve ball nobody saw coming. You watch all these videos & it looks so easy but when you spend the money and try, it feels like ghetto rigging / lets try this & that over & over until it works :/, don't wanna give up though.

I recommend buying a 2012-2014 laptop (minimum Intel Quad-core 2.0+ GHz) from a pawn shop for $50 instead. Download the 64bit Ubuntu iso and put it on a USB stick. Boot and install off the stick to your used laptop. Follow install procedure from retropie. Get a docking station for it if you can. At work we're replacing company laptops so we have a stack of 2014 toshibas nobody wants. I'm configuring one fully so I can clone it to the rest, then set them all up in a game room. And yes, seriously, only buy Intel. AMD cannot compete at all.

Fastbikkel irrelevant because this comment is 11 months old, but as a SF3 Veteran, I can tell with confidence that the slowdown is caused by a heavy overhead being blocked. The slowdown is caused so the opponent can react and punish. Since this is 11 months old, can you tell us how your arcade endeavors went?

I think placing it in the roms folder should allow you to move game rom zips to subdirectories if you don't want to use EmulationStation "collections" function.

The internet. Read up on Torrent downloading if you are a decade behind the times. There are several large ROM packs available where other people put in tremendous effort to group roms together for you. Go to Torrentz2.eu and search for "ROMS" and sort by Size. Scroll down and get the 113GB torrent that's available there. Get the (dot)torrent file to start the download from limetorrents, some of those other sites either don't have any link to download or only have the magnet link. You'll need a "bit torrent client" such as Vuze before opening the torrent file or magnet link. Also, huge torrents like this you may need more than 113GB of drive space to be able to download it. You also don't have to get the entire download, you can choose to not download the psx.zip file for example, save many gigabytes.

for me SF3 is running smooth, no overclock & it feels just like it used too. RPi4 is heavily needed to move forward with better gaming & less glitches & crashes. I'm sure everyone is tired of rewriting the OS from scratch every time Emulationstation decides not to boot up & locks you out. I find this happens with too many roms on the card or roms that are corrupted. As soon as I deleted roms that don't work, some of my games started to work. My biggest triumph was getting mystical ninja 64 to work. It never worked but out of 7 attempts it worked on my 5th attempt. THERE IS HOPE!

I thought so. MVC2 is a no go on this system. I did however get MVC to run. I put it in the fbs folder with the neogeo.zip. Atleast the first one is a good start :)

I couldn't even get MVC2 to run in an Ubuntu PC setup for retropie.
