Congrats on going back to Uni! As someone who went back 20 years after my first degree for something entirely different, I know what it's like. I'm sure you'll do brilliantly! Are you able to go full time, or are you only doing part time right now? I can't tell you how much I appreciate your videos, how calming and respectful they are, of both the environment you're in and the fossils you're collecting. It makes your videos a pleasure to watch. I see videos from other fossil collectors who smash open concretions with sledgehammers and then complain that they're just finding fragmentary fossils. You're always careful to extract fossils slowly, and avoid collecting too many. It makes your channel much more educational and calming. Thank you so much for sharing your enthusiasm and knowledge!

My favorite was from our gold camping trip! Found a big chunk of coral 🪸 that all the surrounding matrix had devolved making it a perfect specimen. No prep needed! Hope to go back in the spring and get more from the creek hill/bank (found the piece down stream and found the source leaving 😢) Hope to finally find that illusive Trilobite 2024 🤞

Yeah 2023 is only great if see through a hobby perspective. Either way, nice seeing more complete fossils of Pelagornis unearthed--do you ever donate some of them to Paleontologists?

Its kind of a shame that most of the sciences won't get you a lot of money, especially the paleontology and geology unless you hold a specific position, which is why I'm glad KZfaq makes a kind of related side hussle, since many ppl are still very interested in the sciences. But I have a question about the moa, did it have vestigial wings or arms?

Can you find some way to sell those cards? The game you've designed will find a growing group. They look awesome! Okay, patrion🎉

Man congratulations on following your dream regardless of time. In 2004 I was an undergrad and studied abroad at Leicester University in archaeology. While there I became friends with a guy who had lived his life as a success banker for HSBC. He worked all over the world, wore Armani suits, the whole shebang. From outsider prospective he had it all, but, he hated it. He quit and despite having 15 years on the rest of the student body he enrolled in his passion to follow his dream of doing archaeology. He has since received his PhD, and was on the team that worked on King Richard the III. I write you this because, there will be days of self doubt, but know you should be proud to follow your passion no matter when you do it, and there will always be people along the way that will support you. Science may not be as financially lucrative as other professions, the trade off is doing something you enjoy, and having a life of little adventures seeing things no one else has. I wish you all the best in your endeavors.
