What is a mammal?
All animals are characterized by how their body works, what they eat, and how they have babies.
Let's have the 5 characteristics of mammals:
1.Mammals have hair or fur.
2.Mammals are warm-blooded.
3.Most mammals give birth to live babies.
4.Mammals are the only animals that produce milk to nourish their young.
5.Mammals have a more developed brain than other types of animals.
Some mammals such as chimpanzees, dolphins, and especially humans are highly intelligent.
Some animals move on four legs like tigers, zebras, and dogs.
Some can run very quickly like horses, big cats, and kangaroos.
Bats are the only mammals that can fly.
Moles have feet like a shovel for burrowing.
Dolphins and whales have flippers and tails to swim with.
Humans have a bony structure that holds us up and keeps us going.
The largest mammal is the blue whale.
The loudest mammal on Earth is the blue whale.
The smallest mammal is the bumblebee bat.
Some mammals such as anteaters do not have teeth.
