It’s amazing you guys got to finally see this exhibit. As much as many of us love the movie, it’s harrowing to see the real artifacts and learn all the details of this horrid tragedy. I did the exhibit that was in NYC a while back and I was definitely emotionally exhausted and humbled by the end of it all.

We did this in October 23, it was surprisingly a very emotional experience especially touching a piece of the ship. It’s quite surreal to know that on every photograph or video clip of the Titanic that you’ve ever seen during your life, the piece you can touch, the piece you have touched is there. It’s been on a journey through time, it’s been present at the launch, at the beginning of that fateful journey, it was shaken by the iceberg and it sank to the bottom of the ocean and now you can actually touch it! Quite emotional for anyone who’s had a fascination for the Titanic since being a child

I work at the museum in Hershey, Pennsylvania that holds the receipt for Milton S. Hershey (and his wife)'s cancelled ticket for the Titanic after they had to reschedule their return from Europe. Thinking about everything he did with his life and legacy after that trip - especially as a fellow "Titanic Girlie" - is sobering. I used to have a piece of "Titanic coal" that I would just hold sometimes in its little baggie but it sadly got lost in a move years ago.

I went to Belfast couple of years ago and visited the museum. It was touching and humbling and there was so much to learn. It drags you into the story of how the ship was built, who the passengers were, how life was back then. It doesn't leave you unbothered.

Glad someone else out there can quote the JC film. I love the Irish history and of course the modern marvel aspect to Titanic. My friends and I went to the theater again and again, paying our 8.00 feature film ticket price in 1997 to see Jack and Rose light up the big screen and bring Titanic back from the depths of the Atlantic ❤ To see these artifacts in person would be amazing 😻

When you mentioned the game, I had major flashbacks of playing it when I was 13! I was OBSESSED with everything Titanic. I even made binders full of articles about the ship and the movie. I recorded anything Titanic related on TV onto VHS, including the Academy Awards the year it won all the awards, and watched it all over and over. I guess I was a bit extreme back then, lol. I did recently visit the exhibit in Pigeon Forge. It was amazing! I will for sure check out the one in Orlando next year! Thanks for the video!

So glad you got to experience this. My husband and I saw the exhibit in 1998 in Boston right after they brought up the original huge piece of the hull. They had it in a tented area outside from the exhibit building. The security wasn't totally set up yet and no one was looking ...so ... I reached over and touched the original huge piece of the hull. I'll never forget it. I too am a Titanic girlie. Have a lovely evening. Blessings - Judith 🎤🎭

Wonderful video!! I would definitely love to see more Orlando local attractions. I wasn’t a Titanic Girly in sense of the movie but it did spark my interest as a child about the ship and the disaster that is still with me as an adult. I think it was more of how the world came together after such a disaster, and really is hopeful of how we as a people can band together in the face of such. I think too as I got older and founded out more with scientists and historians of just how technologically advanced the Titanic was. She still stayed afloat much longer than any other ship up till that time. Btw Las Vegas, NV has a really nice permanent Titanic Exhibit that looks to be a blend of Orlando and Cali’s exhibits. It has both the multitude of artifacts and from what I remember great displays of the rooms as well.

Sorry, for the long post, but I'm a Titanic geek as well. I love the Titanic and the story behind her and her crew and passengers, as much as Molly does. I have remodeled part of my basement as almost a small exhibit. Models of the Titanic, the wreck, self-made diorama's, several pieces of coal, actual wood from a door frame, wood from Lifeboat #12, small swatch of the green felt from the 1st Class Smoking room, as well as autographs of no less than 8 survivors, including a few "pre-disaster" sig's from individuals that didn't survive, including Capt. E.J. Smith and Thomas Andrews, and finally, 3 small pieces of the "The Big Piece" of Titanic hull, that broke off when the two pieces were separated and the larger one in Vegas was moved. These fell off of it and were collected. I also have recordings of her whistle being blown in Southampton, the C.Q.D. and S.O.S. distress calls, like what you heard, as well as the sound made by the distress rockets being shot of and exploding high above the foundering ship. Truly, a moving experience on any level. Orlando exhibit is wonderful, but check out the ones in Pigeon Forge, Branson Mo, and Las Vegas. They are also opening up a new, traveling exhibit with artifacts from both Orlando and Las Vegas called " TITANIC: The Artifact Exhibition" opening at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus, Ohio on March 9, 2024.

I know you guys likely aren't looking to travel to the middle of the country....buuuuttttttt if you ever get a hankering, you should absolutely visit Branson, Missouri! Theres a large theme park (Silver Dollar City) and a nice Titanic museum, as well as many other attractions (aquarium, wax museum, Ripley's museum, restaurants, kids stuff, etc)! It may be the nostalgia in me speaking, but Silver Dollar City rivals many theme parks across the country. Worth looking into for something out of your "norm" 😊

I've been a 'Titanic girly' almost all my life. Long before the Titanic's final resting place was discovered in 1985, I had worn out my copy of "A Night to Remember" by Walter Lord. I was fascinated by the Titanic story but humbled by what had happened that night in 1912. I had a chance to see the Titanic Exhibition when it came to Seattle in 2001. At that time, the piece of the hull in the exhibition was a larger one, and you were allowed to touch it. It was a sobering experience. Seeing all the artifacts that had been recovered at the time was wrenching. I'm glad you were able to go and would love to see more of these types of videos anytime.

I went to the amazing Titanic exhibit at the Luxor in Las Vegas and it has a much larger piece of the hull which had more portholes with one even having a broken piece of glass still in it. It took my breath away the second I walked in the room. The rest of the exhibit was pretty exactly the same as this one. I lived in California at the time and I didn’t even bother going to that exhibit. I knew the Vegas one was much more engaging and had more artifacts including the big piece. Another stunning artifact was some stacks of plates, arranged as they were found at the bottom of the ocean. Anyway thanks it was cool to see what another exhibit had to offer. I still think the Luxor hotel exhibit is a bit better than this one
