I’ll be honest I don’t know how this land will translate in the US the appeal is the fact that it’s in Japan! And I love super Mario, but will we do it just as good of justice?

This makes me so happy. I desperately want to go to Japan and do a lot of theme parks there and there aren’t a ton of English videos about the ins and outs. TDR Explorer is kind of holding down that fort solo! Until now. Yay Max!

We accidentally got to experience it at USH yesterday! But being able to go to the OG land will be a dream come true for sure! Also, how we got there had something to do with Molly mentioning buying an AP at USH a little while back. 😂 And then a subsequent series of comedy of errors turned out to be exactly what we needed to be able to attend their soft opening. So thank you, Molly, for putting that thought in our heads!

Love this solo Max video! In future travels abroad when the mammoth club is all together and really has the time, I would love to see/hear in videos how easy it is to navigate in the parks where the native language isn’t English. While watching this video I wondered if they have bilingual cashiers when he was ordering food, but maybe I’m just thinking it would be harder than I anticipate.

Most things are also in English at Theme parks such as Disney and Universal Studios around the world (and many touristy type places - I lived in Japan for three years and don't speak Japanese). As far as menus and ordering and such at somewhere like Universal Studios, they have English menus and all you need to do is point to it. Many cast members speak some level of English. Also, you'd be surprised how far you can get with non verbal communication in a different country. And when you do need help translating or communicating, it's Google translate to the rescue (the app)! Don't let this fear hold you back from seeing the world!!

Awesome video, Max! Thanks for bringing us on the adventure with you. The clocks and keeping the piranha plant asleep….ANXIETY!! Lol. The dark ride through Yoshi’s Adventure was like Mario’s version of Its A Small World. I also played the heck out of Yoshi’s Island when I was a kid. Nostalgic!
