Wow so he basically was there when she woke up from the coma and had her accept the fact that they were married and gratefully she stayed in love with him and he just wasted 25 years of her life that she could have re started

this is just sad. he should have remembered the pain he felt when he almost lost her when she lost her memories after the accident before commiting adultery.

No one will love him as much as his wife did.

Really why do people even get married in the first place if they going to break there vows down the line anyway. You might as well stay single and prevent a broken heart.🤔

The worst part of this is the heart warming story before the betrayal. It's like he thought, "Hmm, I could just leave her now, but no, I must completely shred her psyche...How can I render her as utterly vulnerable as possible BEFORE I betray her by not only having an affair, but hiding it? Mwahahah!"

I am heartbroken for her. I was cheated by my fiance once too and that's how he left me. I always thought why did he have to propose me just to crush my heart, my soul and my dreams into pieces. I cannot imagine the hurt she went through after building so much trust in someone you grew love together for years, someone you spent half of your life together.... words cannot describe.

This sucks even more than the average infidelity because she never fell back in love with him. She never had the butterfly honeymoon stage, she had to choose the love him and just live with the fact that it wasn’t passionate for her because of how much he seemed to love her. Meaning, she missed out on possibly finding that love in someone else for a man that would later cheat on her the moment the feelings on his side of things dwindled.

I just finish watching The Vow today and then it will gonna end this way? He ends up like her wife's father.

Wow... I don't know. The book the couple wrote was so inspiring...now...I don't know. So many couples that I thought would last fragment so painfully. I get the feeling maybe I'm just ahead of the game never having anyone to begin with.

It went from a great love story to me to a really sad one. Movie on Starz again tonight and it just depressed me. Had to turn it off...

That's just sad. I'm sure they truly loved each other. But people do fall out of love. It's the reality of life and we have to accept it.

I just watched The Vow last night and Googled to see how the couple were to see this. I am soooo sad, but this is what her dad did to her mom. Her mom chose to forgive and stay with him for all of the good he had done. What he did is inexcusable - all he had to do was keep his -- in his pants ...quote from Jeff Foxworthy. However, if this is his only time and he truly has repented and broke this off, I hope she can forgive him and they can reconcile. (The woman who thought it was right to do this with a married man - hope she gets her own man who is NOT married. Come on - respect other women! Aren’t you better than this? Seriously!). I hope this was his only infidelity and if it was....that this couple can work it out.)

I'm not gonna justify what he did. He certainly made a mistake... Life happens. But 25 years is a hellava run, especially when most relationships these days go out the door very quickly. 2 kids, a movie, both still breathing... I wish them both the best.

He was my substitute today in my science class

He knew after she had her accident, that the part of her brain that suffered damage, also results in personality changes. If he truly felt that she was no longer the woman he had fallen in love with, and she was now just a shell of a person of a her former self, then she shouldn't have tried to make her fall in love with him again. It's not a good reason to keep a vow, because you have christian values grilled into. Never follow what any man made religion or book says, the final word should be from the heart. I don't think he was honest with himself at the time of her accident, and I can understand he wouldn't want to give up, but the truth is she wasn't her old self, and from my understand she was never quite the same again, so naturally this will change his feelings for her, and he tried finding his wife in someone else. I'm sorry to say that is also not a good excuse, they remarried, had kids, and he should have stuck it out with her. I'm a very spiritual person, and I find there is definitely something to them getting into that accident at just weeks into their marriage, and they way they met, I feel it was destiny, and that higher force brought them together, and you have to respect the decision of that higher force, because it was truly a test, and really like watching the movie, because I thought it was so beautiful. By hearing about this, I'm really disappointed by this man, and it has really put a dart in a story that I thought had made it against all odds...I guess I was wrong. Some people just don't have self control, and don't understand that the greatest sacrifice is living for others, putting others ahead of you, and their happiness. It would have been better, if he had just left her after the accident, when she didn't remember him at all. Truly sad.
