Who Is surprised by this after all the lies and misinformation about it ??? The linemen are just employees trying to make a living and are not responsible for this situation Center point CEO is the one to blame 110%

How so, other than not having more crews already staged for a storm that tracker significantly northeast in the last day? This storm knocked out significantly more people than Ike, Rita, and Harvey.

Plus a lot of linemen are here from out of town. I met a crew yesterday from Missouri who didn't get here until late Monday night. They and the rest of the linemen had nothing to do with the incompetence of CenterPoints management. Personally, I'm thankful we have people willing to go out and fix the problems.

People are seeing power compny trucks sit in idle for two three hours. The workers are just waiting for work orders but the people in their hot homes do not know that. Then since the trees are obstructing progress, the line workers leave after sitting in idle to another area per work order. People see that and loose their shite!!

One of the news stations just did an uncover story where they were making the workers look lazy. So the community believed what the story said. And caused the community to trip out.

Seriously Houston folks. The blame is on Beryl. Y'all cannot possibly expect to have a city the size of Houston back up in this amount of time. We was without power for a month in Port Aransas after Harvey . I know others in Ingleside and Aransas Pass that was out way longer. It's mega natural disaster. What the heck is WRONG with you people? Only been a week. Now shut up and sweat 😅

Many people on the islands affected by Hurricane Beryl are still without power and they were hit a week before Houston. It sounds like Centerpoint is inferior but this independent grid is what Texans TX needs to look and listen closer to who they’re electing to run their state. Elect a Gov and representatives that don’t flee the state when it needs leadership the most. IMO, the Asian trip Gov took was just a photo op.
@seabass450Ай бұрын
Lol the independent grid has nothing to do with storm damage. Typical uneducated idiot comment.

He didn't "flee the state when it needs leadership the most," because he was already there before this cane struck. As for his trip just being a "photo op," this trip was to explain the benefits of investing in Texas. It's a great place for business. Securing more investment and business for Texas leads to more jobs. A prime example is Samsung building a 17 billion dollar plant in Texas. They chose of all states, Texas because i'm sure Abbott or someone else went to SKorea to tell their execs the benefits of building it in Texas over some other state.
@lorihamlin3604Ай бұрын
@@moseskongi4746 sorry didn’t mean to offend with my snarky comment. I believe he left on a Friday and hurricane came in on Monday. I live on the Gulf Coast as well so I was watching news carefully for 2 weeks. It was obvious that it was going to make landfall somewhere along the coast. I am sorry TX is having to deal with the damage and power outages. I know from experience what it’s like to go for 2 weeks without electricity and cleanup. TX is a beautiful state and the people there are wonderful. Recovery is always slow and frustrating but eventually things will be back to normal.

Keep in mind, those employees likely worked while no power at their homes too. I went only 2 days without power and though I hated it, harming or threatening someone didnt cross my mind. My apartment felt cool without ac during the day and night. I also went to my church nearby to cool off and charge my cell. I thank those companies I saw come from out if town to assist and I know they all had to work in the heat as well. I constantly prayed for myself and others. Anyo e seeking revenge in a criminal manner should get prison time. Imo😮

Why the delay getting power restored? Reports of linemen from other states who came to help restore power are sitting in hotel rooms waiting on representatives to approve pay!???? Pay disputes are holding up their help! In the past any linemen who came from out of state got their meals and hotels paid for yet these linemen are having to pay their own way!??? Why?????

Center point employees are working non stop my husband hasn't been home since before the storm preparing and we lost power and have kids. Y'all are blaming a company for hurricane damage, Centerpoint has been trying to switch to sturdier steel poles for awhile ask City of Houston why they don't have them up. the employees have families living in Houston also without power. And it takes time to fix these poles and move debris they don't have a magic wand. The media was extremely ignorant in their coverage.
